To be fair literally anyone, Maatsen, Alonso, Batman, the tea lady, Roman himself are all significant upgrades on Emerson.

If Alonso had pace, he would be twice the player.

Hull are not sitting back unlike the teams you mentioned, they keep living space everywhere, they are not well organised and can't put more then 3 passes together.

I would quite like to see Frank bring Maatsen on for Pedro or CHO in the second half and push Alonso up as one of the front 3. If new signings are not coming in I reckon he could do a good job for us there.

I don't know, he definitely needs to start games though, he's excellent in the deep role.

Rudiger isn't showering himself with glory lately but he's still our best CB.

Yes but lets not forget those horrid United and Ajax games where he was subbed at halftime. He's a liability defensively in the back 4, but he's much better going forward than Azpi and Emerson there. 

Despite the goal, Batshuayi has been very poor again so far. Where was he for that cross from Mount. It should have been a tap in.
