If Newcastle buy a few decent players in January, then that might be a better loan for him, albeit still balls deep in a relegation dog fight .... at least being Scottish he'll be able to handle the cold up there LOL.

Norwich behind Leeds and guess what, Gilmour is not playing! But somehow, it was Gilmour’s defensive game that had them losing earlier in the season… Live to see.

Tuchel seemed to imply that this loan was Gilmour's decision which if it was, it's turned out to be a bad one. He doesn't have the physicality for a relegation fight whereas he would have still got a decent amount of game time here. Problem is now with RLCs form he's dropped down the pecking order even if he did come back

Glad that Norwich and Farke are getting stuffed again this afternoon...Billy again left on the bench and would be better back at Chelsea...if he has to got out on loan then Tottenham would be a good shout or even Arsenal...as long as Tottenham get rid of their manager...

He’d still get some minutes ahead of Saul and he’s played against Malmo and the League Cup. It’s more important to learn his trade and he can do that better from training with Jorgi, Kante or Kova than not playing for Norwich.

I think he looked at Norwich last time they were in the prem in which despite ultimedly going down they played some good football and were competitive most weeks. They also had a good core of young players like Aarons, Cantwell, Buendia, Godfrey and Lewis who's reputations soared that season (the latter trio getting biggish moves).

From his perspective I could see the appeal back in the summer, he wasn't to know Farke was going to sh*t his pants and abandon the project he's spent the best part of half a decade building.

Unused sub again and the more games that pass the more this loan looks like a complete waste time. 

Hopefully the loan can be terminated by mutual consent and we can find Billy a club for the second half of the season. 

Even a loan to a Championship side where he'll get regular minutes will be more productive. 

Compulsory waste of time. Maybe a bit of logic for not starting him, but when you are chasing the game for the last 1/2 hour and need to create a bit from open play. just madness and incompetency not play one of the better passer in the team. recall Gilmour  tomorrow, at least he'd get some minutes in the cup games.

It's interesting how at the very start of the season Billy was in the starting lineup against top teams. 3:0, 5:0 and 2:1 loses against Liverpool, Man City and Leicester before he was benched.

So I assume that he showed in training that he is good enough to start against those bigger teams but then isn't it then more logical for him to start in much easier games? It's not like they are scoring goals when he isn't playing, they had two 0:0 draws and that's their best result in the league so far.

Maybe he stopped showing his ability in training, I wouldn't know, but it looks like the manager lost the plot already and I wouldn't be surprise to see him getting sacked.

Thanks for that. There was me thinking that db was referring to our Billy as a daft f**ker. Which he isn’t, obviously, and so I was somewhat slightly ever so bemused at the need to describe him as such.

Watched that pile of sh*te on Saturday. It is well past time we terminated this car crash of a loan agreement. 

Sounds like Tuchel was just being diplomatic to not burn bridges before he can actually move, I'm sure his loan deal will be terminated and he will go to a new club in Jan.

The club should try and get Gilmour on loan to Barca now that Xavi is set to takeover as manager. Absolute God of a player in his day particularly in terms of passing and reading the game, and physically small like Gilmour not that that ever made a difference with the skills and vision he had.

Perhaps a good thing that Farke is sacked. Only a potential upside to that for Gilmour as he's not been playing anyways. Normann have looked good for them though so it's going to be hard to displace him for Billy.

Their midfield is actually pretty good. They've been a complete mess but that's also down to their manager. I expect Xavi to make them a lot better.

He wouldn't get into that side. And he'd also be behind 4-5 midfielders at this club so it's a bit of a conundrum.

Farke was probably the manager most likely to play Gilmour given his playing style, chances are with a new manager they'll be even more defensive and he won't get a sniff, hopefully we can recall him though
