Werner was better than that, but the analogy, in terms of our expectation when he was signed, is a good one.

I think Werner was more akin to Fernando Torres in his actual results.  Combine the positive characteristics of the pair of them and you've got what we thought we were paying for in both cases.

Whad'ya go and do that for SF? Timo Torres! Nightmares for me tonight then.

    Werner wouldn't have the heart to chip it like that after not scoring for so long I think...

    Man Utd tried to hijack the transfer late on. Glad we didn't accept as we wouldn't want to sell them a player they want for £25-30m. Think Timo has had enough of English football anyway though.
