Liverpool v Chelsea (PL) Wed 22nd July 2020 20:15 GMT

I reckon Alonso and Jorginho will make way for Pulisic & Kante, this would mean Azpi shifts to Left Back & Mount moves into Central mid in order for Pulisic to play Left Wing.

Kante and Azpi would solidify our defense and playing Pulisic would counter any attacking threat we lose with the omission of Alonso.

Kepa

Reece Rudiger Zouma Azpi

Kova Kante Mount

Willian Giroud Pulisic

Tbh, if Anfield was full of fans I think we'd be blown away in this game. But it's not going to be, so that is helpful to us.

As usual, I think it's going to be down to their front three. If they're really up for it I can't see anything but a win for Liverpool. But as we know, football is a funny old game and anything can happen on the day.

It's really up to us, if the players really want it and play their A game, we will get a result. Liverpool has nothing to play for, they could motivate themselves all they want, but when you dont have anything to play for and just trying to be "professional", it's unlikely you will get the best performance. It's evident from the last 2-3 games they aren't playing at their top level. Not saying we are favorites, but if we treat this as a CL spot play off and play like one, we will get a result.

Good point about the influence of the Anfield faithful, I think that enhances our chances of getting something from the game.

They're going to be outside the stadium being idiots and letting off fireworks the whole match

This is the only game where I want Willian to focus solely on tracking back off the ball and drifting wide when in attack to open up spaces.

We need to nullify Robertson and Trent.

We don't want to show them that, otherwise they might take this game seriously!

Good job giving the scousers something to play for. If we lose the bloke that posted that should be fired

I think that this is too much for them, they all look like they want the season to be over already. They fell out of every cup for this one league title, they look like they don't even want to care...It could be only frustrating for them as they won basically a long time ago but there are still teams coming at them but without them having some period of celebration and reflecting on their league title.

Honestly no matter how much they try to make themselves believe that they have something to play for, their competitive level can't raise right now specially without fans, they all want to celebrate and everything else could be just an annoyance for them, I think someone from their team might commit a serious blunder, after all no matter what they look at we should be more hungry tomorrow regardless of Liverpool getting the trophy.

Is the Merseyside Zidane gone from Chelsea? He wasn't even in the 18 yesterday. I think he would perform well against the dreaded red scousers that he has hated since birth.

He did score that wonderful goal that everybody expected him to completely f**k up last time out against them...

Get this won and Top 4 is sealed. I just worry that they’ll be up for it cause of the Arsenal defeat.

We do have history when it comes to needing to beat the scouse when we need to secure a top four spot.

Or rob them of a title procession. I wonder if Thomas Kalas is available...

Kante is a huge out though. Bloody hamstrings are the worst injuries.

If we can get the win today, well, I don't know what, but it would be incredible. If we drew today, would that mean Leicester need to lose their next game for us to qualify for CL? Given how Utd can be with form, I don't want to rely on Leicester to lose to Man U tbh.

It's going to take everything we've got to get us through the remaining matches of the season, istn't it  I want to beat this lot more than anything right now (and then obviously go on to beat the next lot...).
