The Arsenal love-in doesn't stop from commentators and pundits does it. After building team for the future. No mention of Chelsea. A game that was spoiled by some curios refereeing/VAR non decisions.

They are talking about arsenal as if they finished third when this team literally finished mid table

sh*te Cup game. Arsenal did not deserved the win.

- Two hammies to key players (unlucky)

- Soft PK given to Auba

- Uncalled fouled resulting in 2nd goal for Arse

- Unjust RED card

- Keeper caught ball outside box, NO Pk, no Yellow

- 6 yellows to 1, 14 fouls to 2

Anyone believing this game was not rigged?

Best to leave this behind and look forward to next season.

While you identify some terrible decisions we would not have got a penalty for the keeper's handball outside box. Having said that Taylor probably have given them a penalty the other way around.

That was a penalty, Dave was an idiot for giving Auba the chance to go down. Red card was well soft but many people are using the ref as a distraction from a sh*t cup final performance, without Pulisc we dont look like scoring for hours. That's the difference between our front line and theres with Auba.

Initial contact which created the fall came outside the area, this was clear to see, the correct decision should of been just a free kick, no card.

It's what happens if the front three are a bit off .. there is literally no goal threat from a midfield of Kovacic and Jorginho ... I think the selection today was too negative in hindsight ...

Has anyone seen or heard anymore about the handball? They've completely glossed over it.

I was busy having a moan on here at the time, missed it and was told by three separate people it was outside the area. They didn’t even mention it.

Didn’t do enough in the 2nd half but the referee’s performance was beyond a joke, we seriously should contest when certain referees get given our games.

Even if nothing comes of it, just to make the FA know we can’t be cheated in matches without a fight.

I don't know about weekend ruined bro. I would take top 4 over the fa cup and Europa... It's a sour taste but won't dampen the sweet taste of lamps first season

You need a young side to have a taste of winning trophies. It's what kickstarts the hunger for more trophies.

It's what separates the best teams from never-achievers like the Spuds

Lets all just agree on this point before we go any further, else whats the point, its like having a bath with a hole in.

Nah. He was our best defender for the two years before that. Hasn't been as good this season, but for me that is as much down to a chaotic defensive system as a poor year.

What I think we can agree on is we are in need of a dominant organising centre half and a decent defensive coach to help Frank sort this out.

Agree with Ernie. There is no tactics or pattern to this team. Our only apparent tactic appears to be keep the ball and see what happens. Then whenever we lose it because nobody can tackle we just jockey players and defend space, which is sh*t. So anyone with any intent like aubameyang aguerro, basically any strong running centre forward can scored at will against this shower. Such a poor team

Arteta can take his praise and Arsenal won today so he will enjoy it. Hopefully they believe the hype and don't address the obvious problems they have in the squad.

As disappointing as it is to lose in the final we made it into the Champions League which was likely more important. And we all saw today that major investment is needed in our defense. Hopefully we will address that issue in this window.

I look at all our attacking players and I only see Pulisic as threat. I just dont see goals even in the subs like Abraham, CHO, Kante, Pedro etc. Looking forward to seeing the new signings next year.

Maybe losing will have an even bigger impact ? They'll be absolutely gutted in that dressing room ...

A very sad end of the season. The FA Cup has lost the credentials and the respect in my eyes after this, Taylor was the ref in multiple finals only in the FA Cup that's how bad it is.

A very sad end of the season. Pulisic, Azpilicueta and Pedro got serious injures.

A very sad end of the season. Our best player of the season Kovacic gets a second yellow after Xhaka falls and the ref waited for it to happen.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong. A sad ending and Lampard didn't deserve this.

VAR should be calling that, complete waste of time, get rid of it.

Disagree ... they need to simply GET IT RIGHT. I think the FA are meddling ... only thing  that explains the sh*te implementation of what should be a great system ...

Only time will tell.

i think the ref was a disgrace.. he still did not gift the two goals we did.. In the first one.. zouma goes with Laca since the midfield is on a high press.. yet giroud cant press the ball carrier who is luiz and can look up and hit an easy pass.. this on Lamps.. why were we pressing them so high up? Forget azpi any defender will struggle against Auba.. Maybe with Tammy and his ability to press that could have worked but Giroud cant press

But the second goal.. a 6 feet 4 central defender against a measly fb.. he doesnt take the ball and neither falls the player... what a joke.. Any player at any level of the game take the player and yellow.. the second one is Rudiger and his foolishness and ineptness .. he put his entire team out... post that the ref didnt call another obvious foul.. and with two of our CBs out.. suddenly from 3 against 4 it was 3 against 2... and again cabalerro made it easy by rushing out..

Same old story for years. There isn't a club anywhere in the world that has experienced terrible refereeing in important games like us. Countless times. And I'm not being biased.

I think we'll all be disappointed, but the way we play on any given day it's a crapshoot. That doesn't tend to win consistent trophies over the long term.

We need to sort out our midfield and defence because when you concede at least 1 goal every game you're always up against it.

But with the ability to sign players again and CL football we've got a chance to do that now.

Ashley Cole said it was the right decision, Dave had a little tug outside the box but bigger contact was inside the box which knocked Auba over, was a penalty and silly challenge.
