To be fair alonso hasn’t done anything wrong so far. It’s good Tuchel picks on form. That’s how you do it. 

I really hope he starts the Southampton game. 

Alonso is spending more time wondering around in midfield rather than doing his job as a wingback these last few games. 

As always Alonso has a purple patch then falls off the wagon.

Back to the bench for him, or least it should be.

Chilly is back - time for a run in the team.  Probably play a blinder this wkd, get called up by Southgate, and get injured!

The penalty he gave away was stupid and he should know better than to dive in like he did. 

Which is why I'm glad he scored such a well taken goal because I didn't think he was playing badly up until the penalty. 

Hopefully he did enough to retain his place.

Agreed, should have scored in the first half too.

Think that spell out of the team seems to have done him the world of good. He's been phenomenal of late at both ends of the pitch. 

See what happens when players are played into form. Brilliant today.

What a finish he has on him! Such a good footballer. When in form, him and Reece are our best wing back combo.

Not getting enough credit for the progression he made in the last half dozen games. He's a better finisher than Alonso right now, and he could pass, run, and more importantly defend.

According to Jonathan Pearce he's the first Chelsea player to score in four consecutive games since Eden Hazard.

This didn't sound quite right. While he's scored in his last three league games for us, he didn't score in midweek against Malmö.

He's scored in his last 4 league games (or just starts?) for us. Including in the loss against Villa end of last season.
