Had a good goal disallowed. Pity. And against a former team too

Changed the outlook of that left hand side when he came on. Very unlucky with the goal and the header as well. We looked more of a threat with him on the park, probably in part to Leicester sitting in but nonetheless, far superior to Alonso - if nothing else, purely for his pace.

No idea why he didn't start.

Chilwell is very good in the air, Just as good as Alonso if not better. Tuchel only plays Alonso because of his height for set pieces. Strange decision.

Defensively at LWB Alonso is better in the air, Chilwell has looked better offensively.

With one game left to play Ben Chilwell currently has more goal involvements this season than Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic in all competitions. 

Chilwell: 4 goals, 7 assists. Total = 11

Ziyech: 6 goals, 4 assists. Total = 10

Hudson-Odoi: 5 goals, 5 assists. Total = 10

Pulisic: 6 goals, 4 assists. Total = 10

Chilwell has played better after going through a dip mid season when Alonso  was tried.

Pleased for him as he seems a good fot for us.

It really shows what a shower of sh*t we have been offensively when Ben Chilwell is our main threat in a team that includes the likes of Werner, Pulisic and Havertz et al.

And yet lot of our fan base wants us to spend a big chunk of our budget on Declan Rice rather than a Jadon Sancho.

I mean Hudson Odoi hits 10 goal contributions in 1800 mins. So 1 every 180 mins. A lot of these minutes (probably most) were played as a wing back under TT too.

Ziyech got 10 in 1900 minutes. 1 every 190 mins.

Pulisic more underwhelming with 10 in 2400 miniutes. 1 every 240 mins. 

Not to forget Pulisic and Ziyech have both been coming back from injuries at some point this season which is bound to hurt their efficiency. 

I think our issues clearly lie at CF with Werner/Giroud/Tammy and money should be spent there instead of another winger. Especially if we're playing wing backs so a natural winger like Jadon isn't really a priority. We then have Mount and Havertz who can play in behind the striker supporting them.

Rice makes so much sense with how painfully average Jorginho and to a lesser extent Kovacic are as players.

I think Chilwell has been a fantastic signing for us and we finally have a complete LB since A.Cole left.

Thank god the club listened to Lamps here and paid the money for Chilwell instead of going for a fancy name like Telles who can't get in the team over Shaw or Reguillon who can't defend for sh*t.

I get your point but we had the second best defence in the league last season, Our attack let us down. Im not saying never go for Rice, but our attack is more important at the moment. Id rather we spent the money on a striker and a attacking creative player. Our attackers bar Mount were all poor, Giving me there minutes played etc is making them sound better tha they were. Hudson Odoi very rarley plays well in an advaned postion, his best performances came as a wing back.

Ziyech was a huge disappointment, Pulisic hardly stayed fit, Still not sure what Havertz best position is. I personally think Sancho is too good a player to miss out on.

So glad we signed him. He’s a huge upgrade over Alonso and Emerson!

The only thing I have against him is that he is so one footed. I wish he’d use his right feet a little more often.

But yeah, a great signing overall.

Good call and he will probably be up against Walker, notice Silva recently has found Chilwell with the long diagonal ball giving us a goal and scoring chances.

He's really stepped it up since Tuchel joined. Defensively, he's very strong, and he seems to be improving in attack. I don't think he's great in forward areas with the ball at his feet, but his driving runs with/off the ball are very good.

What a performance from Ben.

This is why he left Leicester and signed for Chelsea!

He's a big game player. He did it in the final against Leicester too if it wasn't for var unjustly ruling him millimeters offside.

Hope he gets even better from now on!

IMO the two best left backs in the EPL were on show last night. And our left back was better.

What a first season he has had!

Brilliant left back. Has his faults but I wouldn’t swap him for anyone.

He did not get everything right but boy was Frank on the money with him.

Need more love after that performance, I really don't think him and james received enough credit
