Tomorrow's winner will be the league leader. What a massive game it will be.

If I got a penny for every time the media mentioned Liverpool's injury crisis, we get it they have a few players out.

Not entirely without reason to be fair (and I don't like defending Liverpool); they're missing their star right-back (and main creative outlet), their three first-choice centre backs, and four centre mids (now including their utility man who covers most of the other positions).

That penalty will now be declared the worst thing in the world, the ref will get demoted and there will be an apology given to Liverpool. Seems to be the normal trend for these things. They'll forget that 2 penalties exactly like that were given a week ago.

And the next game, Mane's knees will fail because of a fingertips tap on the shoulder and the same pundits will be saying it's a cast iron penalty.

I can see why that penalty was given, the only difference is that normally Mane, Salah of Fernandes would of been rolling around on the floor.

Welbeck didn't go down as if he was shot and now they are saying it's not a foul.

Unbelievable, we all know what the main talking point of the weekend will be already.

No one is denying that they are seriously depleted but the media seem to be ramming it down our throats constantly during a coverage. For example nobody knew how depleted Leicester were for there game against Liverpool with a few of there first teamwrs out, one of my mates who happens to be a Leicester fan named all there Injuries during the game.

Kopp is such a pathetic whiney c**t when it doesnt go their way 🤣, great to see an interviewer finally not taking his sh*t.

Always a mistake to go after the people you're being interviewed by.  You win the argument, the press slam you for bullying, you lose it, you get zero sympathy and generate "he's lost it" headlines. Media outlets will always go guns blazing on any attack on them.

We have had constant injuries to our best players since the beginning of last season, and nobody but us Chelsea fans said anything about it. Pulisic was missing throughout large chunks of last season, that is the equivalent to them losing Salah or Mane. Then there was Kante who couldn't shake off his injuries. Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Rudiger, they were the other 3. This season we had to start the season without Pulisic again, and Pulisic is recovering from yet another injury now. Havertz has been out for a while now, Ziyech and Chilwell missed the start of the season. These are all big players being out for long periods, much longer than Liverpool's players in recent seasons.

I don't really disagree about the coverage, I just think they're entitled to have a moan given the circumstances. I notice that other fans don't moan quite as much though...

As someone who lives in Leicester (250 days of lockdown and counting...) I'm well aware that they've been hit pretty hard too - first-choice centre back, first-choice centre mid, pretty much anyone in the squad resembling a full-back. It's particularly difficult for Leicester as all four of Ndidi, Söyüncü, Castagne, and Pereira in particular were the team's outstanding players (beside Vardy) prior to their injuries.

Not to mention that we started the season without any of Mendy, Chilwell, Silva, Gilmour, Pulisic and Ziyech...

It sucks that Brighton has such a sh*te strikeforce. They're a pretty good team overall.

That being said, their sh*te strikers can only score against us.

Liverpool fans aren't happy on Twitter 😆 I don't see how they can even claim injustice when they have Salah and Mane throwing themselves to the ground if somebody so much as breathes on them.

Its absolutely identical to a penalty salah got a few weeks ago the hypocritical cretins.

Look at the injuries we had last season on top of a transfer ban. Never heard a f**king word about it though, even in the final against Arsenal we had key players missing and you never heard about it.

Everything is exaggerated beyond belief with Liverpool.

You'd think they were the first team and only team in the history of sport to have so many injuries.

Klopp's argument in of itself is sound, he's going about it a different way in that he's going straight for where he believes the power lies in deciding when fixtures are, which are the broadcasters.

The problem is that the broadcasters do hold all the cards and are arrogant enough to just keep things as they are to maximise profit, I'm sure the PL do technically make the decisions on fixtures but ultimately they are based on the broadcasters recommendations.

I guess on the flip side what Klopp's problem is that he's biting the hand that feeds and in general I do agree with the principle of having CL/EL clubs having maximum rest time but I personally don't like the arrogance of Liverpool as a whole to think that they have the power to change things now, give them an inch in demoting a ref that they moaned about and they will try to do more to influence the game to their advantage, we don't want another Ferguson in the league ever again.

Spot on!

Klopp has got a point about teams that play in Europe, but it is the arrogance of Liverpool that kills me.

When Liverpool complain they are so used to having the media, pundits and the Liverpool loving social media accounts behind them that they can't handle it when anything doesn't go their way.

Nobody gave a damn about us last season when Sky gave Liverpool a Friday night match against Norwich and then gave us the last match of the weekend against Man Utd on Sunday, even though we was playing Liverpool in the Super Cup in Turkey the following Wednesday!

So Sky gave Liverpool the maximum possible preparation time and on the other hand gave us the minimum possible preparation even though it was 2 English teams competing for a European trophy.

Klopp wasn't complaining then and nobody felt sorry for us!

This is one of many reasons I don't have any sympathy for them.

I always liked the expression: "You want sympathy ? You can find it in the dictionary between sh*t and syphilis ... " 🙂

I don't even know how Liverpool fans can complain about the penalty

He's completely missed the ball and kicked him in the foot.

Agree. But it's not just Liverpool fans whinging. It's the world of punditry, including ex-ref Peter Walton on BT, who feel a wild kick in the box that misses the ball but catches the player should somehow go unpunished by Var if the ref doesn't see it. Bonkers.
