I hope you're right. Not so sure myself.

Apparently Spurs have paid a £9m loan fee and their only paying a percentage of Bale's wages. Seems like a pretty low risk gamble on their part.

I've been on the avoid Bale at all costs train since about 2016, and that was before his systematic injury's and new found preference for golf.

Players who got to where they are largely thanks to physical ability are the one's that tend to badly bottom out, as we found out with Torres and Essien.

VAR is f**king ridiculous.

Its the new handball law in the penalty that needs to be looked at ,as VAR and the refs are only acting on that law > 3 seasons back that penalty would never have been given and the penalty that should never have been given would also never have to been retaken after utd keeper stole a inch or two via his feet looking for a addvantage .

VAR was awful last season and I dont expect better this time.

It's managed to get even worse, which I thought was impossible.

I wish someone would go straight through this f**ker with a chopper style challenge.

Oh that is too funny.

We all knew our refs are incompetent. Not they have to be  more so. Anthony Taylor we are looking at you.

Then arsenal score a goal that looks offside and VAR barely even bothers. Unbelievable.

Arsenal seem to be going through a period where everything is going their way, the media will then be saying that Arteta is the best thing since....Pep

If that Palace pen was given then that one against Arsenal should have been given as well.

Just shows how ridiculous VAR is, its still open to interpretation. Surely the VAR ref is the same for both games?

There should be retrospective punishments for blatant cheating like this. There would be uproar if that was one of our boys.

This United team will struggle whenever they can't sit back and do counterattacks. Their central defence and defensive midfield is so slow.

Likewise Arsenal.

Arteta has done a good job there but f**k me, style wise he appears to have learned more from Moyes than he has Pep. Arsenal are utter w**k to watch.

Arsenal brought back down to earth that half after beating a terrible Fulham side, west ham were the better team.

Going to call it now, Arshavin 2.0

The inconsistency of VAR makes it absolutely pointless for me.

Exactly. All supporters want correct decisions but what we really want is consistency and these two games this evening have yet again highlighted just how bad VAR is.

It's one thing refs getting things wrong, but when you have a faceless thing that no-one can question f**king up this badly, you wonder where football is heading?

The whole things a farce, 2 almost Identical situations but one's given one isn't. Why didnt the ref go to the monitor in the arsenal game but he did in the Utd game?

Yeah I think most fans would accept if the rules were applied consistently but they’re not and that’s what is infuriating people.
