That's a clueless take! Palace had 0 shots on target min 75! Almost whole game they couldn't do absolutely anything and once we scored they needed to open up a bit and then we tore them apart! How do those people have that job being so clueless is beyond my comprehension...

It's such a ridiculous thing to have been whining about, especially as not changing players lead to a 4-0 lead. 

For once it was an overall good performance.

Chilwell MOTM! World of a difference from Alonso! Solid at the back and solid in attack!

Zouma and Silva looked a very good pairing. Azpi putting on a captain's performance.

Kai looking so silky, winning aerial balls and being generally good overall.

Timo needs to be played central. Tammy needs to be better.

Pulisic straightaway showed what we've been missing, moving opposing defenders out of position and making space for others 

 

With the benefit of hindsight and a 4-0 win under our belts I’m gonna say - the state of some of the posts in the first half! True we weren’t threatening much but the signs were good throughout this match. 

Chilwell even talks almost exactly the same as Ashley lmao.

That's the best Jorginho has played since Sarri left I thought. It was helped by the fact that Palace offered little going forward to test him defensively but he played very well with the ball at his feet and took his penalties calmly as always.

I loved this back 4 for us!  Let's stick with it Defensively it was a great performance. 

Once we get fully fit we have plenty of firepower going forward...Reece James is very talented but Developing...positional Azpi is on another level

Palace deserved nothing and got nothing. 4-0 seemed fair

He changed the game when he came on at Palace last season. Played only 15-20 mins but really made the team tick.

Very happy with that, great performance. 
 

Chilwell Motm, Jorginho and Kante controlled the game and broke up play well, back four looked great Silva and Zouma dominant and that has to stay the same from now on no more tinkering.

Werner looks lost out wide needs to play centrally hopefully with Pulisic and Ziyech returning we’ll get to see that and see him at his best.

Worst time possible for international break but lovely to go into it on a massive high UTC.

We score 4 goals AND keep a clean sheet? Well, this weekend is going to be gooooood.

First half he criticised Werner for not getting 'in behind'. That would be behind a ten-man defence that was leaving zero space 'in behind'.

Yeah this game was always going to be one where he would struggle. Zero space behind. Best chances on the counter. For me I would have liked to have seen him get 15 minutes up top with Pulisic and CHO either side once the game was safe.

You see what having a top CB in Thiago Silva does. Improves the other CB. Zouma was brilliant all game alongside him. I think moving forward, bar that WBA game, most of our CB playing alongside Thiago Silva will be a lot better. It is like Joe Gomez. I highly rate him, however if Van Dijk was injured and he had to play alongside Matip/Lovren every week, he would look a inferior defender. Zouma was superb. Has all the tools to be a top CB. Pace, power, brilliant leap, brilliant tackler also. 

Not diminishing Jorginho performance he was on it but teams that press higher faster and harder than Palace can sometimes rattle him, top notch today esp his two hop skip jump pens. He’s not out the door neither is CHO imo unless he knocks on the managers door tomorrow !

Firstly we comfortably contained a very dangerous counter attacking side, one that tore United apart at will a couple of weeks back, really wouldn't underestimate that.

Secondly we displayed a ruthless edge we haven't always showed to say the least, Palace really dug in and made it difficult but as soon as they shown an inch we punished them ruthlessly.

And it's good to sign off before the break with a win like this, really wouldn't have wanted to stew on dropped points for a fortnight.

The only downside is Werner not getting a goal and not being able to take that pen. A few people said when he moved he is the type of player that needs an arm round him and needs to “feel loved” by the team he plays for so hopefully his confidence doesn’t drop. I’m sure when he gets one they’ll start to flow but just a slight worry.

Come on man, Palace did nothing but can't you just acknowledge that maybe it was because we didn't need let them? Jorginho was great, and the defensive line of our team was fantastic with him covering at times for our CS. CP had no choice but to defend as we were on top of them.
