I'm not sure they'll even entertain that at less than half the cash price media have quoted. Marina can work some deals, but this is quite the gap (spoken like a true insider). June 16, 20215 yr For the absolute life of me I can't fathom how so MANY people in this thread have suggested that we're going to even remotely entertain a deal where he stays in Dortmund for another year; this isn't a Christian Pulisic repeat! We are literally SCREAMING for a top-level striker. TT has himself identified that we are in a precarious situation where Jorginho is our top PL scorer with 7 penatlies (?). The club will not pay £100m to see a talent sit in Germany for another year where we don't utilise any of his assets. It will either be a case of putting an obscene fee on the table and signing him this summer, or we will go elsewhere, simple. For what it is worth, I believe if we DO NOT sign him this summer, he will go elsewhere, purely down to the fact that a multiple-club scenario will drive his wages up. For anyone thinking he will be 'loaned' back though, forget it, no chance.

But I think an offer of 100 mil plus Tammy might be at least considered. My understanding is his release clause allows him to leave for a fixed fee of something like 80 million Euros. Would make sense for them to try to get as much as they can for him.

Lol I think the rumour is stemming from a load cast appearance Liam Twomey who reports on Chelsea for The Athletic. He said personal terms wouldn’t be an issue for Chelsea but getting Dortmund to agree to sell will be very difficult. That seems to have been twisted into “personal terms agreed”.

Yeah that makes sense. It would not be that difficult. If we agreed to to pay 180mill for him and Sancho, give them Tammy and loan them CHO so next seaosn they have their replacements already plus 180mill to play with it would be pretty simple I reckon. Just depends how badly we want him. I mean we could put down 150mill and tammt and again I cannot see them turning that down. I prefer option 1 though.

I think we're locked in a 3 way staring contest with Dortmund and United. Can only hope United faff around at this point.

If you mean Sancho I dont think we are after him. Far as Haaland goes no way United pay that sort of money when next season his clause is so much less.

There is no way for Dortmund to let both go in the same window. So it's either we pay over the odds for Haaland or Utd pay the extra 10m+ for Sancho and Dortmund is pretty much set for this year. June 17, 20215 yr Haaland AGREES Chelsea deal Erling Haaland has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, according to reports The striker is Thomas Tuchel's key target this summer, after accepting a move for Harry Kane is unrealistic, and has already made contact with the striker. Ian McGarry of The Transfer Window Podcast claims the Borussia Dortmund sensation has accepted a contract offer and now the two clubs must reach a deal. McGarry said: "Personal terms for Haaland are signed off. It’s just a case of Chelsea agreeing a fee with Dortmund."

June 17, 20215 yr Tomori set to be confirmed going to Milan for about 25mill. Half of Raiola agent fee right there. Lol Even if Haaland has come to an agreement two important pieces are missing and very hard to get. Dortmunds agreement, and Raiolas.
June 17, 20215 yr I don’t believe any of it, you can’t sign a contract when the transfer fee hasn’t even been agreed. The article above says contract has been signed off lol, do they even know how it works? As soon as you sign a contract, you immediately belong to the club / work company offering the contract. It’s going to be a long saga but I hope he comes eventually.
June 17, 20215 yr Marina is good if Haaland wants to move and if we want him I think we get him even if Dortmund don't want to sell. Their stance makes no sense, selling him for his release clause next summer when they can make that and 50% more on top just seems like they're trying to bait us to over pay. Let's look at it logically they struggled to make UCL last season and without significant investment I would assume the same thing again this coming season. If Man U pay the £80m for Sancho that is a lot of money for a team like Dortmund to uncover another couple of diamonds for the future. The question that needs to be asked is what do Dortmund get by waiting til next summer? They lose a chunk of his transfer fee but, they keep their best player. Where they to invest into their team maybe they can build on their cup win and try and challenge Bayern for the title and maybe a run in Europe. But, surely from a business pov you sell this year for more than the release clause get a player or two thrown in and build a very good side not just to flip players for profit but to actually build a dynasty. My offer would be slow roll as Chelsea aren't in a rush to broker this deal worst case scenario we tap him up and guarantee he wants us next season. I think €100m with €20-30m add ons (UCL win, EPL win, top goal scorer in the league etc. Realistic targets but with the money spaced out) plus we offer Tammy on a loan with a buy option say £30m I think that's fair.

June 17, 20215 yr http://sportwitness.co.uk/chelsea-haaland-transfer-dortmund/ As we suspected, its going to be a long summer and even longer saga. No terms agreed just heavy interest from our aide I'm not even sure the rumoured €70m bid with Tammy is real.

Problem is Raolia who will want his very hefty cut. I dare say other clubs might be more willing to indulge him.
