I think I am right in saying that Mount is the first junior to establish himself as a nailed on first 11 starter since Terry. And there have a lot through the ranks since then. Hopefully some more follow him soon.

June 26, 20215 yr If there is any truth to the latest rumours we can get 100mil from selling players this summer. Tomori+Moses (30mil) Tammy A. to Aston Villa (40mil) Ziyech to Milan (30-35mil). Haaland for 100mil-120mil + bonuses shouldn't be impossible.

Part 2 I dont see for that price, maybe 25mill Part 3 no way Milan buy Zyiech, italian clubs tend to only deal with us with loan to buy options. I swear if we offered them Kante at 40mill they would want a loan to buy.
June 26, 20215 yr Il be shocked if any of the loaned players came back in. We saw how ruthless we are with sacking Lampard, there is no time to turn a gallagher into a locatelli. Im also pretty sure Tuchel wants a team to win the title, is he going to time to develop broja, when there was no time afforded to develop Abraham. Long way to go in the window yet.

Abraham joined the under eights and turns 24 in October. I think he has been afforded a lot of time and Chelsea should know by now his qualities, weaknesses and how much he adds to the squad. IMO he does add to the squad but will never hold down a starting position and he wouldn’t and shouldn’t be content with a bit part.

I’m speaking more during preseason mostly. Honestly, I haven’t seen him play in so long I don’t remember a whole heap about him. But I do remember him going strong into tackles and definitely didn’t shy away from a challenge

I meant Tuchel didnt have time or a willingness to work with Abraham, so why would he want to use Broja, considering he is more raw than Abraham. I agree with your assessment on Abraham though.

I agree with your assessment on Abraham though. At this stage of his career, Broja is a reasonable squad option as the third striker. He'll develop by training with better players, and get playing opportunities in domestic cups and off the bench. Tammy won't settle for that, but then he's 5 years older and at a different stage of his career. Anything over £35m for Tammy will be a good return.

To be fair to him it was hard to look good in the team he was in. If anything getting a full season in the prem at his age will be invaluable experience

The odd game he got for us, he would make dangerous tackles that were close to red cards.
June 27, 20215 yr All I can say is transfers this season are fairly dull when we are talking about ampadu and Borja in the Harland thread. Meanwhile both Manchester clubs are clearly strengthening.

That said I think things will start to ramp up post Euros.

I have got it wrong several times before with young players, however I was excited by both Mount and James before they stepped up to the first team. Never know when the next diamond will come along .
June 28, 20215 yr I am not overy concerned if we dont land Haaland. I think we should go for him with passion but if we fail to land him we should not buy a "cheaper option". Lets just integrate Tammy in the side and expect Kai and Timo to score more. The scenario I fear the most is we buy a "Morata" for 70m and almost instantly regret it. We need to make a bid for 150-170m and hope he doesn't fancy someone like Real (which is a rumour currently). I think Haaland is worth the money. And he is the type of player that fits Chelsea. Aggressive, big frame with a no nonsense attitude. His personality reminds me of our only two good strikers from the recent past; Costa and Drogs.

I just hope that the club have learned their lesson. One thing I've noticed on the Twitter fields over the past few weeks is how self-entitled the majority of Twitter Chels fans are thinking bidding £150mil is the equivalent of pressing the 'x' button during a FIFA transfer on PS4. We have to remember as well, nearly everyone last summer cussed and called it nonsense when we were linked with Kai Havertz. Deals like this will take time and thankfully for Chelsea, will probably be being done behind the scenes. When a bloke who is pals with Putin knocks on your door and says "Let's do business." you tend to listen to him and give him respect. Roman is a private man, if it's believe to be the case that he is interested in making this move happen, he ain't gonna want leaks coming out. Patience.

You’re bang on Raiola is a mere minion, compared to the ‘Roller’ Roman is, if he picks up the phone, you damn listen, and then there is Man City and PSG, end of story….

I'll be surprised if City get one of Kane or Grealish let alone both.

June 30, 20215 yr Maybe he not buy it now Sancho has gone; no way Dortmund sell both their top players in one window. Their fans will go mental and they’re a community club. Can close this topic now.
