September 7, 20223 yr Like a lot I am shocked but not surprised, I would have thought a little more time to bed in the team find his best 11 if possible but who knows what goes on behind closed doors. Next .................

Never a dull day at Cheldea FC What on earth has Graham Potter achieved to warrant the Chelsea job? September 7, 20223 yr Honestly best bet now would be to hope Conte falls out with Levy and throw him a massive signing on fee
September 7, 20223 yr Well the ship started sinking as soon as Roman went, now we are bloody submerged under water,a sad day for Thomas and ourselves, god I don't feel anyway back if we hire Potter.
September 7, 20223 yr Good news for Tuchel - RB Leipzig has sacked their manager too, so I'd imagine he's on the first plane back to Germany.
September 7, 20223 yr Long said Tuchel's stubbornness would be his undoing. Disappointed at the timing - thought he'd get thru the WC atleast, but the more I think about this the less surprised I am. Terrible results this season (42% win percentage, 42% loss) - that pattern stretches back to April. Barely improved, but to me this actually goes back to Nov 6, 2021 vs Burnley This seasons wins are awful as well - Everton (barely won, was a penalty), Leicester (we were lucky) and West Ham (really poor performance) The manner of the performances The lack of ability to change games Assessment of players. I still do not believe Lukaku, Werner, Ziyech, Pulisic, Odoi can all be bad players. The are all starved of any service Players cutting the most frustrated figures on the pitch I have the utmost respect for Tuchel - will always be remembered for what he did for Chelsea. But I can see why the decision was made now vs. letting this drag on
September 7, 20223 yr Given the lack of any world class player apart from a half fit Kante, Tuche might be the best manager we've ever had given his achievements

And even then it was 10 points from 6, which is only about 2-3 points worse thann the usual. If Anthony Taylor hasn't screwed us over Tuchel would probably still be in a job Personally, I didn't see the football improving. There are signs when it is the beginning of the end. We know it far more than anybody.
September 7, 20223 yr Author Tuchel had 18 months and 19 days, he won 3 pieces of silverware in 5 finals and achieved top 4 in both his season,(despite loads of stuff going on off the pitch which we wont go into). Potter has had 40 months at BHA, won zero, no top 4 spot. I'm all for getting behind Potter if he does get the job. But come on people, don't expect much to happen in 18 months. Which World class star is going to come and play for Potters Chelsea ? Maybe that's why Todd is doing it, so the top players who cost the most ridiculous money won't ever come to us ?
September 7, 20223 yr Disgusting decision, WTF are they thinking? Give the man time to turn things around, he is a proven coach, won the CL, took us to cup finals, made us a top3 club again, improved some of our young players. If anything he has earned the right to be given more time. Many new signings this season, its inevitable that players will need time to gel together and while this happens performances might suffer. Seriously, wtf.
September 7, 20223 yr Mourinho in 05 had pretty much all of the best Chelsea players ever, as did Ancelotti, Mourinho the 2nd time rould had prime Hazard, Fabregas and prime Costa. Conte had prime Kante along with Costa and Hazard, as soon as Costa left we couldn't even get top 4. Meanwhile Tuchel had a half fit Kante and a 36 year old Thiago Silva. The guy won Champions league playing Mason Mount, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz up front, and we didn't even have to park the bus to do it. We went toe to toe with Atletico, Real and City and beat them all. This sacking is just as bad as Ancelotti's, arguably even worse Edited September 7, 20223 yr by Drogba1

September 7, 20223 yr Where was this energy when Lampard was sacked? Mid table after half a season, players like James Maddison openly admitting how easy it is to score against us, one of the worst defences in the league, and yet half the sub thought it was way too premature. Compare that the what Tuchel has done and yet tons of people seem happy for him to go in favour of Graham Potter, who's only achievment is getting Brighton playing some decent football whilst mid table and getting some club promoted through the Swedish lower leagues. It's completely baffling
September 7, 20223 yr Teams don't park the bus against Brighton. Let's see how good Potter ball looks against 10 men behind the ball every week in a 60 game season

I think the nail on the coffin for Tuchel in his pressers speaking as if he is lost and confused, which is directly reflected on the performances. Lost and confused.

All well and good playing decent football when teams don't sit back against you, but it's almost another game entirely trying to break down a low block defence. I am cautiously optimistic about Potter but I do think this is a really good point.
September 7, 20223 yr If Potter gets appointed I give it about a week before several start complaining about "seven defenders on the field" with his back three/five formation and two 6s. Essentially plays the exact same system as Tuchel did and there was no end to the whining from some. With the player we have Potter will have no answer to teams parking the bus either. I can almost guarantee it.

September 7, 20223 yr I don't think it helped with so many of the team either not performing or arguing with each other , not ideal . Add to this TT's strange behaviour after games and in the interviews and I think it was inevitable unfortunately.
