Apparently Barca have been in contact with Kounde directly and asked him to reject all other offers as they need time to get a bid in order as they wanted to offer player exchanges and Sevilla have refused this.

Guess we will see how much Jules wants to move to Barca of we agree a fee for him.

I hope Real wipe the floor with them again this season,and they drop out of cups straight away,this is one dispisable team.

For the likes of Raphina i also think something resembling home comforts is important aswell. In terms of culture and climate Spain isn't a million miles from South America whereas the UK, well, is.

I guess it would be the equivalent of the English league being a minor league while the MLS and Mexican league's are the big two, i'd wager almost every British player would choose the former league for that reason.

It's done. These are last ditch efforts by Barcelona. 

Sevilla like our offer and Kounde isn't even going to training. They leave Thursday so this can literally be resolved in a matter of hours.

Apparently Sevilla are annoyed at Barcas tactics and are much happier dealing with the new Chelsea owners.

They apparently want a deal agreed tonight and Kounde not to go to their training camp in Portugal. Unlike this year it is not just Kounde and us pushing for a deal, it is Sevilla as well as they know he won't sign a new deal and his value will almost half next summer.

We’ve met the asking price.

Would love to wrap this up.  First choice back three Koulibaly - Silva - Kounde, with Chilly and Reece.  Heavy rotation needed and would expect Chalobah and Colwill to play many games.

No denying his ability on the ball, (probably the best ball carrying CB on the planet) but he's a questionable defender.

His height I'm not worried about as his metrics for aerial duels and headed clearances are pretty fine.

He was already a gem at Bordeaux, but like many talents he was hovered up. 

The potential is there for him to really thrive, but it depends on the system Tuchel wants to use.
