July 19, 20223 yr Update from Ben Jacobs: Jules Kounde update. Chelsea are confident of agreeing a fee with Sevilla for around €60 million and working fast. Barca yet to bid but are expected to imminently. Still an open race. Sevilla do want a straight-cash deal, though, with #CFC’s tactic to get an agreement quickly. Barca are waiting and relying on getting Kounde’s full buy in. But #CFC sources also believe Kounde wants a move to London. That’s the key difference compared to Raphinha. Raphinha made it clear Barca was his first choice. Kounde hasn’t. No doubt Chelsea are closer to a deal currently and growing in confidence. Barca must respond, and Sevilla will listen if they do, but they want things ideally resolved this week (before they go to Portugal). That helps Chelsea, too.

July 19, 20223 yr An "open" race. lol. It is mind boggling to me that Barcelona have any credibility whatsoever. Barcelona is the most bankrupt and corrupt football club on the planet. Barcelona are 100% toxic. why would any player go there? Even Messi had to leave. Where to begin? So many scandals around the club and their finances. One of my favourite Barcelona scandals in recent years was when Josep Bartomeu was arrested in relation to the "Barcagate" scandal in which the club hired a social media company to publicly discredit the players and staff. I mean seriously wtf. Barcelona Football Club = criminal mismanagement. FFP? lol Edited July 19, 20223 yr by TheCeleryKing

Its defies belief how they are allowed to operate like this and also clubs are willing to deal with them. It seems everyone including UEFA think that Barca are too big to go down and turned a blind eye to everything that's going on.
July 20, 20223 yr It's just a matter of time before Barca stopped paying all their players and staff, and club been sold ( if it hasn't started) to the highest bidder. I'm surprised football agents out there haven't speak out yet, imagine your client being owed 17M by their employer, surely as an agent you lose money too. If we sign Kounde, be great and conclude our defensive enforcement. If we don't, at least make Barca pays over the odds.
July 20, 20223 yr What a waste, Jules has no idea just how good he would have been here... Sad that it didn’t work out, with him we would have been so much closer to a complete squad and I’m not sure if Tuchel can find a similar profile.

Latest rumours have us in lead to sign him?

July 20, 20223 yr If he prefers Barca then let him f**k off to Barca. The club should stop any sort of effort to try sign someone the second it comes out they’d prefer a move elsewhere. If you sign a player where Chelsea aren’t his first choice, they’ll never give 100%. He’s a vastly over-rated centre half who’s played in a league where 70% of the talent wouldn’t put a shift in the Championship let alone the most competitive league in world football. Jules Kounde would get found out here. He has nothing of any sort that would remotely make him a success in England. The vast majority of all top centre half’s in this league have above everything; exceptional physical attributes. Van Dijk, Matip, Dias, to name but three; whether it height, speed or strength. Kounde is a ball paying centre half who looks the part running after 60kg Spaniards who have never set foot in a gym. We’d be better off putting his transfer fee and then some towards a player like Gvardiol or Skriniar, absolute power houses of defenders.

Many players have come here as a consolation option and gave the club their best. 1 hour ago, thebluekid said: If he prefers Barca then let him f**k off to Barca. Again not true, multiple players have come to the PL from that league and not only adapted easily but looked better players here (Mata, Yaya, Liverpool's Torres, Aguero, Silva, Cazorla to name a few).

Isn't that the type of thing that did for Lance Armstrong in the end.............that and the blatent and contnuing lying of course
July 20, 20223 yr Chelsea expect to agree a fee with Sevilla for Jules Kounde today for around €60 million, including add ons. Sevilla want a deal wrapped up by Thursday latest when they travel to Portugal. Kounde very open to #CFC move and expects to know his next club by end of week. Ben Jacobs around 1.15pm today at the same time that Brokelona was trending😂 Edited July 20, 20223 yr by OneTommyLangley

Sevilla want a deal wrapped up by Thursday latest when they travel to Portugal. Kounde very open to #CFC move and expects to know his next club by end of week. Barcelona have been told by Monchi they must make a move or walk away, & that any offer must be a straight-cash deal. If both clubs agree a fee with Sevilla it will naturally all come down to Kounde. But right now Chelsea are closing in and it remains to be seen if Barca respond. Kounde did not train today and Sevilla firmly believe his move is imminent. Told that ideally they don’t want him travelling to Portugal and club are planning already for his exit.

Xavi at helm and a full Camp Nou just is something many of them are dreaming of. Not to mention their activity in the market. We are a massive club but a tier below Barcelona.

That is true, but the players risk not being able to play if Barcelona can’t register them due to their finances, plus they also risk not being paid regularly. I am not a professional footballer, but I’d not join a sinking boat no matter how big it is when there are other very good options around.
July 20, 20223 yr I think Barcelona are the only club on the planet that I wouldn't care if they went out of existence tomorrow. Horrible club. How they are allowed to make signings whilst in the debt and financial trouble they are is ridiculous. If this was any other big club in Europe they would get the book thrown at them.

I am not proud of myself to admit it but i don't think i would shed a tear if they went t*ts up. It wasn't that long ago that this club never carried sponsors on their shirts because they were teh blue bloods, football royalty, above it. Their true, real fans, must look at the decline of the clubs standing both financially and reputationally and be appalled by the (bordering on) criminal management of the club over recent years. These players are joining there over a stylised, outdated mental image of a club that just doesn't exist. No different that when i am out playing with the grandson, in my head i am still Rivelino or Jairzinho. Its rubbish none of that exists any more. Raphinha always dreamt of playing for Barca. Perhaps. Not sure if any of those dreams resulting being part of the "infamous" squad of players in place the day the club went under though. Who'd want that on their CV?
