I know. I think half of us are not even sure if he’s any good or not. We need reinforcements either way. This is without Apzi leaving. 

Jules Kounde has U-turned and will now travel with Sevilla to Portugal for pre-season. Barcelona feel this will buy them time to table to a bid. No formal offer yet whereas Chelsea have a verbal agreement on fee and are in advanced negotiations.

Then suddenly the Kounde trail goes cold and we are interested in signing MDL. He too wants to join us but we are again unwilling to pay the asking price. We then try to make it a player plus cash deal but Juve want a straight cash deal. Bayern come along and turn MDL's head. We panic and offer what they wanted but it's too late now. 

When we realize that MDL won't sign for us, we are forced into panic buying Koulibaly and we have to thank Napoli for that because they probably hate Juve more than us and don't want to strengthen them. Thankfully the deal happens before Juve can intervene. All the while we're sleeping on Kounde but he still wants to come to us.

In the meantime we want Ake and apparently agree personal terms with him. But suddenly City realize they want 50 mill for him. The deals falls through and City are happy to keep him. And Kounde is still waiting....

Koundé was supposed to travel to London today for his medical with Chelsea. Barcelona have managed to get Jules Koundé to travel with #Sevilla to Portugal. Chelsea are infuriated with his decision. A significant gesture from the French defender (via @gerardromero) #CFC #FCB

Just about sums it up. We knew at the start of the window we needed at least two CBs for a season starting earlier than normal, with a shortened pre season. Never mind maybe Arsenal will pay us back for when they f**ked up and we let them have Benayoun…Rob Holding anyone? 😏

As I said a few days ago, it is an absolute joke that we have strung it out this long. If we wanted him, it should have been wrapped up at the start.

Frankly, I am not all that sure that Tuchel actually wants him as a priority - if so, then why the messing around with De Light and Kimbembe.

If true I expect us to demand a yes or a no by the end of the day, and move on if the answer is a likely no.

Yeah Sevilla being made to wait for Barca when they would not wait for us last window is kinda ironic.

let him go to Barcelona

we will just have a good laugh at them in the future, they are only thinking short term, and even short term i don't think they have any real chance of winning anything 

we got Koulibaly who is by far the best player of the 3, if we had to get any of the 3 i would have picked Koulibaly anyway

You have to admit it is kinda funny that, despite all their issues, Barca are messing with us so well. And all that after Todd had a nice meal with them, almost like they got him drunk to reveal all our plans lol.

Assuming a deadline was set for the player than hold them to it. If he wants to wait longer for Barcelona then so be it. Walk away. Supposedly they haven't even bid for him yet which is not that surprising given their current finances. I can see a situation where the player has to stay at Sevilla for another window and that will be down to him and Barcelona's meddling.

Yeah I could see him having to wait till January to move there.

I’m not convinced we are out of this, but still I would tell Kounde to f**k off and let’s take a chunk of that fee, throw it at Leipzig, and see if we can convince Gvardiol’s camp to bring him here.

We are. Accept it. Him leaving to join the squad basically confirmed it. Gvardiol with his release clause will be something astronomical. We are better off going after Pavard for that RCB spot. Koulibaly LCB.
