Jules Kounde

Featured Replies

Some sources in Spain say that Kounde was never meant to fly out for a medical with us yesterday.

In fact that earlier story about 99% complete is pointing to the fact that, while we have a basic verbal agreement with Sevilla, all the details are not yet agreed upon and so contracts have not been sent to be verified yet. Same as Kounde has agreed verbally a 5 year deal with us but has not given then green light to say a definitive yes to joining us.

Of course other sources have pointed out it is all stalling tactics to wait for Barca, who are now mocking us.

Some reports Sevilla plan on making it a bidding war to raise the price closer to 75mill euros.

A couple decent sources tbf, let's not assume the worst just yet guys

Feel its a smokescreen by sevilla to keep CFC at the table and try to force a bidding war. They know if we walk away then the only option will be barca and then they will offer less than what we have. If kounde was coming to us it would've been done by now. Koulibaly deal is evidence of that.

Seems quite plausible. Sevilla were not best pleased with how we handled the pursuit of Kounde last summer.

Apparently we have offer Kounde 12mill a year and increased our offer to try and close the deal.

Lol... extortion at its very best.

Not heard anything from the main source since the 14th they were hassled quite a bit for the dembele u turn. Apparently they have access to the transfer system fifa uses.

For anyone that's unfamiliar with this when a player has a proposed move, whilst it takes a lot longer these days (to process) due to all the necessary paperwork and lawyers, agents etc. involved.

Does your "source" realise that you upload completed documents to TMS in order to get the international transfer certificate i.e nothing about negotiations and process is stored in that system while it is happening?

I call bullsh*t on your source, best stick with tomato ketchup or HP.

Have to say is kind fun how the posts on here flip flop between those who still have the belief he will come here, and those who say he is already a Barca player in all bar name.

It's the Chelsea way

It's time we move on. It's f**king hilarious that sevilla and kounde are waiting for a club who haven't actually put in a single bid and there's no certainty that they will.

That is a ridiculous contract offer. Add that to making Sterling our highest paid player, and giving a 31yr old defender a 5yr deal. Not sure throwing money is the way forward.

are we really that desperate? after watching us in preseason still don’t know where goals would come from and the problem just carries over to this season. we have incompetent attack but yet we are f**king around all window with c**ts who make us look stupid

just piss off

if we dont’t win anything this season perish the thought, it would be seasons highlight to play them in CL and somehow produce our magic to knock these despicable c**ts out of competition and piss on their grave.

Just walk away when the bidding war gets over 60, so Barca could sign another player they couldn't afford, and we move on to another target. Surely they can't sign every player we want to sign, right?😁

Not to be all sourcey and in the know but:

'Barca briefing to local media they've practically ruled out signing Kounde, the club believes they can't match Chelsea. Barcelona also suggests they never made an offer and that they now see him signing for Chelsea in the coming hours.'

IF in the end he does sign for us, he probably will get a very warm reception :tank2:

This kind of hero's welcome would've gotten Werner off to a flying start!

Maybe.,just maybe. This was tweet 1 min ago:

Chelsea now believe they’ve won the race for Jules Kounde. Barca still haven’t formally bid and accept they can’t match #CFC’s offer. Sevilla & Chelsea have an agreement with only minor points being finalised.

Barcelona have officially confirmed their second lever is activated. But they haven’t moved. Only Chelsea are in advanced negotiations with Sevilla and the expectation from sources close to the deal is Kounde to #CFC will be fully finalised in the coming hours.

Barcelona sources practically give up on Jules Koundé. They believe that the center-back will sign for Chelsea in the next few hours. The Barça club has never made a firm proposal to Sevilla for the Frenchman.
