Let's just improve our last 2 performances.

-------------- Mendy -------------

-- Azpilicueta - Christensen - Rudiger -

CHO ---- RLC ---- Kovacic ---- Chilwell

-------- Mount ----- Werner -------

---------------- Lukaku ------------

Let's bounce back, COME ON CHELS!

Saints will sit deep as they did against City and we will have no answer. Expect a frustrating afternoon as we go into the break.

Hassenhuttl teams rarely sit deep.

Feel like this is a season defining match, drop this one and we are officially in trouble. Attacking minded change must be made for this game, they will defend with with lives and banking on us lose possession.

TT showed his displeasure at his regulars when he sent on 2 very much back up players in CHO and Trev, and 2 he wanted shipped out in RLC and Barkley.

Given we defended poorly against Juve anyway I think this is the perfect game to go to a back 4, and use the 4-3-3. See if we can have a plan B.

Fact is Jorgi and Kova were back to their bad old chuckle Brothers routine and would like them chucked to the bench in this one.

Selecting a line up that shows several regulars what we have seen of late is not good enough.

Mendy

Dave

Christensen

Silva

Chilwell

RLC

Trev

Barkley

Timo

Lukaku

CHO

See if they can take the chance given to them.

Don't panic yet - we need a solid performance and will get one.  We must create more chances and play with greater urgency and pace.  We can get the result, but we'll need to score 2 or 3 to win as they will get their chances and likely bury one (turns out scoring is that hard).

Agree with this lineup from @IliyaKrostin

Zero chance he plays a back 4.

Absoutley agree he won't.

Further to that, 0 chances he starts any of the 3 midfielders or either CHO or Timo up top imo.

If I were to guess the side right now I would go for

Mendy

Dave

Christensen

Rudiger

CHO

Jorginho

Kova

Chilwell

Ziyech (Mount if fit)

Lukaku

Havertz

Tuchel needs to be brave and shed his normal cautious approach...Southampton will come just to park the bus and we need to be more creative and show more urgency and pace...

Mendy

Dave Christensen Rudiger Chilwell

CHO Kante Mount

Havertz  Lukaku Werner

Mount being fit will be big for us. I'm sure we will stick with a 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 but I think a 4-3-3 would be a good switch ...

Mendy | Chalo AC Rudi | Azpi Kova Kante Chilwell | Mount Lukaku Werner if we go 3-4-3

Mendy | Azpi AC Rudi Chilwell | Mount Kova Kante | Havertz Lukaku Werner if we go 4-3-3 or a 4-3-1-2 with Havertz behind Luke and Wern

Anyone know exactly what's wrong with Pulisic? We are now heades for a month out with a sprained ankle and absolutely no updates of any kind from Chelsea. Just curious as to what is going on.

I thought I heard that he was training with the full squad, but it's telling that Berhalter didn't call him up for the international break.  (Although I guess he didn't rule out calling him into camp later on.)

Pulisic and James are still injured according to the club site. They definitely won't be available for the game tomorrow. Kante is also out through Covid. Mount is available again though

One for @USATim

TT has said today I his presser he does miss being able to utilize CP "Do we miss Christian Pulisic? Of course we do, his sprints and intensity."

Any news on Osgood?

I heard a vengeful Canadian had hired a Voodoo Priestess to cast a curse over him that makes Tuchel see him as a big scary demon. My source was some bloke called Roy down The Feathers.

Osgood is good apparently. At least that is what the fans say.

If you really really closely you may see spot him in box at the shed end

Thanks. Good to get information from intelligent posters.

Thanks! Appreciate the info.

I hope Tuchel sees that we need quite a radical change for this game.We have been absolute dogs poop in our last few games.

I believe Ziyech,Havertz and Alonso should be 'rested'.There is a malaise that has crept into our game and if TT thinks it is a storm in a tea cup and plays the same old crap I will question his ability as a coach.

You're only as good as your recent games.

                 Mendy

Azpi         Andre    Rudi     Chil

             Kova          Kante

Werner        Mount         Cho
