Still no Timo Eh?

Pulisic man of many positions master of none. How will he and CHO link up?

They won't. I genuinely don't know what Pulisic has to do to be dropped.

That lineup is more or less as expected. We may see Azpilicueta and James alternate between wing-back and right centre-back responsibilities.

The one surprise (but not an unwelcome one) is seeing Hudson-Odoi start again, especially considering he played the full game against Villa.

I wonder if it will be Pulisic or CHO at LWB. Given how we've lined up in the past, I suspect it will be Callum playing as a LWB ans Pulisic further forward.

Have your mate Digne signed up some someone else can cover Alonso?

Hopefully Kante is not needed today.

Saul can deputise as a lwb.

It's because him and Mount are our only fully fit attackers. Lukaku, CHO, Ziyech and Kai have all only returned recently from injuries/Covid and TT is probably more confident that Pulisic can go the full 90 without problems than any of them, which is sensible as we only have three changes and Lukaku, Kovacic and CHO would probably not go the full distance in an ideal scenario.

He also had to play as a Strike tje last few games which isn't his position, so I wouldn't hold his performances against him too much.

I like the line-up.  Trev, Kai and Hakim off the bench if needed.  Pulisic gets another chance in his best position, and CHO can show he's the LWB until Chilwell gets back.

Maybe, or maybe is Mount at WB and CP and CHO with Lukaku.

Unless TT has lost it it's Pulisic at left wing back.

He doesn't deserve a front three spot atall right now let alone over someone who heavily contributed to all three goals on Boxing Day.

Either way mate Lamptey against either of them is nightmare. Toni better have his wits about him.

OR

Could it be James in the back 3, CP RWB and Dave LWB?

I guess TT didn't fancy an Alonso match up against Lamptey ... having said that I think CHO is unfortunate to get shoved to LWB when he is clearly a better option in one of the attacking slots behind Lukaku.

Getting the First goal is crucial tonight. Brighton rarely lose and draw an awful lot of matches. They haven’t won since September yet are in 11th. We need to start fast and early - no messing about until 70th minute. Pepper their goal with attacks and shots.
