June 30, 20233 yr If it is true he's been offered 45m Euros a year salary to play for Al Hilal, then surely he's got to take that ? He could play in Saudi for a year or two, and earn so much money that he could effectively play for Inter for free for the rest of his career after that ... if he wanted to, and assuming Inter would still want him at age 32/33 of course 🙂

He will meander around like the daft oaf he is, show up in a few games and steal a living.
June 30, 20233 yr From BBC transfer round-up: Chelsea's Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 30, has rejected a second offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal - worth £45m (£39m) a year - as he only wants to leave for Inter Milan. (Gazzetta dello Sport - in Italian) This one is unlikely to finish well.

Ah if only we would put this fool on the same island as Bogarde for the remaining 3 years.
June 30, 20233 yr Why should he takes the offer if he still think he can win something in Europe. There are still teams that want him but only the asking price is too high. Player like him and Pulisic still have time left so they should choose something that is good for their career’s and not what the club can get for them. Don’t think you can win something as club will all teenagers. By selling all you seniors players and buying youth with over 5 years contract. You need a mix for experience and talent. June 30, 20233 yr So Inter have agreed to sell Onana to united for a reported 45mill pounds plus 10mill in add ons. So we know you have the money Inter, pay up the 35mill euros (loan fee and buy obligation combined offered) now a day get this done!

July 1, 20233 yr If he wants to go to Inter so bad then he has to take a pay cut and we need a fee. Otherwise he can play at Strasbourg as well.

You'll make your mind up won't you. We want €40m for him..from anyone. That's half of the fee for Mount, Havertz. Now is this guy the great talent that can do a job and lead a team to glory or is he a self obsessed bang average player that nobody other than the Saudis are interested in. Don't be saying Inter are interested cos they're not unless he is given to them. After all they value him at about half the value of their keeper who wants to leave.
July 1, 20233 yr There is a big part of me that would like us to take the financial hit and keep him. But never play him again. Anytime he doesn't train or spouts off to the media fine him. Bogarde him for the next 3 years. Effectively end his career. Make him a forgotten man. I'd like that much more than getting 40mill for him. It's what he deserves.

One thing I'll give Bogarde is he by all accounts carried on training professionally and kept himself in shape incase Ranieri ever changed his mind. I don't think it's a stab in the dark to predict Lukaku wouldn't do that, which would surely put him in breach of contract?
July 1, 20233 yr This absolute f**king c**t is without doubt the most c**tish c**t ever. What is a better word to describe this f**king arsehole c**ting f**k c**t. Phew.

He acted on his legal advice, which was that as long has he met training requirements and made himself available for selection when not injured, we didn't have a leg to terminate his contract. Lukaku has proven he has no such sense. I suspect this will end up being another Mutu saga where an Italian club gets in his ear about forcing a termination. He'll refuse to train or do something equally stupid, we'll terminate him, and he'll sign with one of the Milan clubs who we'll pursue through CAS, upon which they will agree a payment in installments until the heat death of the universe.

I’d take it. Just get his wages off the books
