Has been speculated he is Pochettino first choice forward recruitment. Not my first choice but if we can swap him for Lukaku then I am more than happy with it. Just swap. No fees. Even if Martinez continues the number 9 curse he’ll still have better resale value than the lump of sh*te we’d be shot of.

No doubt we would love that deal. No doubt Inter would want 80mill plus for Martinez while wanting Lukaku on loan for 5mill and paying half his wages. Yet they are looking like getting good money for Onana and Brozovic
July 8, 20233 yr https://metro.co.uk/2023/07/07/chelsea-mauricio-pochettino-sends-message-to-romelu-lukaku-19088736/ Unfortunately I feel Pochettino wants him. If he doesn't return next week it will get really interesting.

As such he is required to report for training. One could argue he's calling Lukaku's bluff.

Don't think there is any way back for Lukaku after all he has said and done. IMO it would be a huge mistake to even try to integrate him back in to a young impressionable squad.

July 8, 20233 yr If he doesn’t return we simply stop laying him. That will either get him back, or not, and the divide is already there. He needs to go, permanently

July 8, 20233 yr If he doesn’t leave he needs to be put in reserves, moved position to wing back and run his ass up and down the pitch every single practice match until he f**ks off. Guy is such a c**t, honestly.
July 8, 20233 yr I am pretty sure Pochettino made his mind about him already. He welcomes him in the office, 2 minutes of superficial chatting and fairwell.

July 8, 20233 yr An absolute cretin. I wouldn't even let him in Cobham. We're building something new and this f*cker should be the last person to derail our season (again).
July 8, 20233 yr The guy is what I call a, Attitude player. Seems that way off the pitch too. His best games are always against lesser opposition. Either very good or a donkey. No in-between. For me, A waste of talent.

July 8, 20233 yr Love how we are letting Juve muddy the waters, I ain’t no quantum physicist, but a P/ex is obviously what to do!

However if we have made it clear to him he has to come back if not sold by the 13th, and he really does not want to come back and Inter don't have the money for him (see offer rejected out of hand), maybe he finally is considering other options.
July 8, 20233 yr You'd hope. This egotistical w**k stain doesn't have the humility to negotiate out of his contract, and with Inter skint along with the other Italian clubs he might now favor a Saudi move.
July 8, 20233 yr Still think he has a role to play for us if we can put trust in his ability and play to his strengths. 🫣🫣 Not serious btw. Out ta f**k you tramp!!!
July 8, 20233 yr Can't work out the Inter comments, if true, that they are looking to sell players to be able to afford. Firstly it's an indication of how skint they are, but also, if we're interested in Martinez, surely a deal can be done.
