February 5, 20224 yr We made very hard work of it but with better finishing this would have been over comfortably in 90 minutes. Give Plymouth some credit though. They fought throughout and showed some real quality at times. Their away support was impressive too. Made for a great cup tie overall.

Just so sad that we are stuck with him for 5 years... as we learnt with Torres. It is difficult to move older strikers on huge wages The only saving grace is his desire to return to Italy ... I hope he is prepared to walk the talk and take the huge pay cut that will be required, and if whoever is in charge at CFC has any sense they will swallow their pride and make it happen tomorrow. Roman surely has to be f**king furious that he's paying such huge salaries to so many terrible football players.

They all make my blood boil. Between the six of them there is an acceptable performance about once every four games. There are people in this country who have worked hard all their lives wondering whether to eat or turn their heating on and Werner is getting a couple of hundred grand a week for drifting around like a fart in a bottle. Thought he played well & tried to make things happen

February 5, 20224 yr We made it so hard on ourselves! We should have been 3 or 4 up at 90 minutes, but the crossbar and post, and our inefficient attackers helped them all the way. Ziyech and Azpi played well trying to make things happen on the right wing, and I thought that Kova and Mount did well too. Hudson-Odoi could not dribble past any of their players and Lukaku, well, he was Lukaku. Havertz and Werner tried but did not work well. I’m beginning to think that Tuchel should ask each attacker if they are happy at Chelsea, because I can’t believe that they are giving their outmost. It’s either that or they are really sh*t. Overall, it was a proper Cup game with the lower team putting up a good fight and almost getting through, good on them. Their support was relentless, and we had some of them in the Chelsea stands, not sure why they weren’t kicked out by the stewards, but fair on them. The FA Cup is great for this reason.

February 6, 20224 yr Some of the rags reporting Rom was furious with Werner for his "effort" to get on the end of that pass in the 90th minute. Given plenty of us have pointed that out to is a fair point, however if Rom could pass a ball decently it might help as well.

Lol, then Ziyech should be pissed off with him not sticking a toe out for an easy tap in. Probably some scummy rag trying to stir sh*t up
February 6, 20224 yr Report: my match-winning wonderpants are very comfortable, now I know why 90% of my country's teenagers wear them (the other 10% wear destroyed jeans). I would recommend every forum member buys one, and the quintuple is ours.
February 6, 20224 yr Ziyech did OK for himself, but he only put in one decent cross all game, that Lukalu stuttered his run at the useless muppet. But after that all Ziyech did was cut inside and either lose the ball, shoot wildly with zero outcome or just pass it backwards.
February 6, 20224 yr Kind of a rusty early season performance. the biggest issue is lukaku not being wherever the cross goes. Ziyech put in a bunch of fairly decent crosses almost none of which lukaku anticipated. it can always get worse but will probably/hopefully improve. cho clearly can’t shoot, shame really and will reduce his value heaps. for my money I’m not too negative on eitherWerner or Havertz, they did create the goal. Werner seems a bit hesitant to really push himself since the hammy injury. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s either still feeling it or worried about it.
February 6, 20224 yr I think differently on Ziyech he kept getting the ball yet often had two defenders to beat. His final ball or shots were off. Yet he did have some good link up play with Mount enabling us at time get outswinger crosses rather than just Ziyech's inswingers.

I agree on Lukaku and one of the rare good things CHO does is to find Lukaku who is beginning to acquire the shadow of Torres. CHO used to have a decent shot which I guess he picked up from Willian where he shoots after cutting in. The problem is every decent team knows that is his only scoring potential. To be fair his header yesterday looked decent and might be worth working on. Re the cutting in I recall Mount against Liverpool, he cut and beat two defenders before rifling it into the bottom corner, CHO currently cannot beat the second defender.

February 6, 20224 yr Any news on the injuries? Michels mentioned that Mount, Azpilicueta and Jorginho all had problems.
February 6, 20224 yr Luton away in the 5th round - another one we should get a result against, but could offer a challenge if we don't up our performances, and especially finishing, by then.

Big boys all kept apart. Nice easy draw for pool though, allows Klopp to rest players and still go through with ease.

Good draw but looking at the draw all better EPL teams avoided each other. No mouth watering clashes which is always the excitement of the FA Cup. If we get through this guaranteed to draw Everton in the 6th

I disagree, I think he made several dangerous crosses but Lukaku was nowhere near the place.
