How poor has Azpi been .. reminds me of Gary Nevile towards the end of his career.. should not be on the pitch at all... Rudiger is playing like his head is already in Madrid.. So many hollywood passes putting his team under pressure everytime...  we need to be patient.. but our defense has been woeful..

Another thing about Lukaku that does my head in is his reflexes. Like the goal that was ruled out for offside, a top striker has the reflexes to read that and score a tap in, but he is so slow to react that it just bounces off his shin.

£100m for this guy. It's astonising that we thought that kind of money was worth wasting on a player with so many problems.

Another poor, boring game. Wolves have done next to nothing and still look more dangerous. But the whole atmosphere from the team to the stands (and I’m in the MHL) smells of a draw. And it’s not good to see so many seats empty on a Saturday 3 ko.

 

Werner disallowed goal was very soft , not sure how you can argue that the 2nd wasn’t offside though. 

What has happened to this team in the fortnight since the Semi Final ? Week off and the same formation & tactic yet made even more ineffective by playing Lukaku & Temo up top?

My issue is over how long these decisions take though. They have all this computer technology at their disposal. If it is that clear why does it still take so long?

Did var check Werner’s disallowed goal? Because I didn’t notice a foul but there wasn’t any communication regarding var at the stadium

Yeah eventually they spotted it, just a shame the twats cant be so thorough and in depth when we concede.

And even if by a miracle he reacts to it, he can't seem to stretch, jump, turn to reach any kind of ball, it's astonishing indeed. Can't wait to see him playing for any other team, please make it happen Boehly sir!

@Valerie I’m ready for the second half…

 

Kovacic is the only player I have been impressed by. He's taking players on, spotting the pass and playing it, but everybody else is too slow and lacking any invention. Pulisic is trying and has had a few nice touches here and there, but his lack of physicality is holding him back again.

James is once again struggling against a team that sits back, we talk about Alonso's lack of pace, but James has similar pace problems. He's a lot stronger than Alonso, but his lack of pace means he can't get behind teams that sit deep and he seems to want way too much time before he puts a cross into the box. I have real doubts that James can be a proper wing back, there is a ton of quality in him, but he's not quick enough, both with his legs and his brain. I can see why he has been used as RCB and DM, because there are times when the wing back role just doesn't fit for him.
