There’s no way Juve can afford sterlings wages. They aren’t exactly rich right now.

Chiesa is good just doesn’t fit the managers plans and I don’t want yet another young player in the team. 

I would keep Sterling and make selling Mudryk first priority. Sterling does have his moments which we wish Mudryk could have but he's just a terrible footballer. One of the worst I've ever seen at Chelsea given the pace he has.

Non footballing reasons probably mean Sterling goes if we need one to go.

Mudryk isn’t going to sell for any less in a couple of years time if he still hasn’t taken off. The amount will be as low as it is now.

Sterling’s about to enter his 30s though, even with good form his value is going to start going south.

The damage to the book cost with Mudryk probably means he’s safe from sale for a couple of years.

Raheem Sterling --Future unclear - perhaps the Middle East. We know he wants to stay in London to be near his family, but he has to see that he needs to get some ca$h as he is at the end of his career. . .West Ham want him, but do not want to pay for him. Any club who wants him has to at least offer half his weekly wage.  

 

He needs cash? What about the 18 million he earned last year?

His performances have not justified him being one of our best paid players, but, independent of that, I still think he has a quite a bit to offer simply by dint of how good his movement is. I'd sooner lose mudryk if that was the choice.

I know some don't like the new ownerships plan, but I am glad to see the days disappearing of not being able to rid ourselves of players due to wages.

Juventus paying Vlahovic 400k a week, Sterling likely to be willing to drop his salary to get a move too as wants to push for the england squad again. 

This deal is certainly possible, especially if chiesa is leaving.

I was going to say isn't it hard to get into the England squad playing abroad unless you're maguire or Henderson (even that has a limit) then I remembered Southgate has gone, lol.

 

Carsley loves Gordon, he was a fixed name in his squad. And tbh he knows the kids quite well and may prefer the youngsters. He easily trusts them and let's them off the leash (as long as they are covered).

I think it will be hard for sterling to get back into the England squad, regardless where he plays. I am looking forward to carsball being played by the England first team tbh.  Finally might see some attacking fun. I just hope the FA give him full reign to pick and play how he wants, and the pressure doesn't get to him and he ends up playing something stupid like a Southgate 2.0

For different reasons I suspect we would take a loss on the book value for either player. I believe Sterling was signed over a 5 year contract, so his book value would be about 30m now? If so we might be able to get that fee, almost certainly if he was going to Saudi. But when you factor in his wage demands there will be few clubs willing to pay that sort of fee for a player of his age.

Mudryk's book value is still much higher because of how much we managed to stretch out the amortization of his deal. Like you say we'll almost certainly be taking a big loss on him whenever we finally sell. I'd still consider a loan for him, perhaps in Bundesliga, to see if he can find some form elsewhere. Maybe then his sell on value could increase.

Yeah more than likely I suspect.

My worry with a loan is that if it doesn’t work, then we’re really f**ked. There will be clubs thinking that Mudryk is failing in this pressurised environment and that they might be able to get the best out of him. If he goes on loan and still underperforms, then that temptation is gone

Only to substitute them for days where we can't get rid of players due to the high price we've paid for them and no other team is willing to pay (e.g. Mudryk).

Mudryk signed at 21, with a 20 mil per year ammortization + salary, not great... but

Lukaku signed at 28, with a 37 mil per year ammmortization + salary

Mudryk was a much better gamble than Lukaku

To circumvent the whole salary and amortization kerfuffle, I suggest we sell Mudryk and Lukaku because they're misfits (I'm being polite).

Went to the Inter game yesterday... Mudryk was isolated with none of the team wanting to pass to him, he gets the ball loses it or balloons shots.... Never thought I'd be happy for Sterling to come on, but Mudryk is a waste, doesn't belong and shoot be loaned at least 

Not sure but I think his camp released a statement on him being dropped !!?! Really how can you do that.. yes he is disappointed but solve it with the manager in his room not in media.. disgraceful if true.
