August 26, 20223 yr Also, if buying Forfana moves James back to RWB and stops him being wasted as a RCB it’s money well spent IMO.
August 26, 20223 yr Leicester should go for ange Postecogelou. Won in Australia Japan and Scotland. Plays a great style that is exciting for fans.

I'm not so sure particularly with the fees for Fofana and the two young players. VFM can only be adjudged when the player actually leaves the club and you can evaluate their time with us, not when they joins us.

In other words you would happily take the 60mill @WhiteWall proposed then lol 37 minutes ago, foxedup said: The only thing stopping him is whether he just loses focus and it’s all happened too soon. Seeing as he’s shown numerous times to be a petulant spoilt brat at his last two clubs, I’d say there is potential there for that. But keep the focus and drive to improve and he’ll be a star. Leicester fans are annoyed at getting a record fee (addons granted)…. That should tell you how highly he’s rated. I think he is quality too. Just a question about his mentality. Clearly lots of talent.

This window been just awful, hasn't it... Koulibaly is an upgrade from Christensen, Sterling is an upgrade from Werner, Cucurella is an upgrade from Alonso, Fofana is an upgrade from Rudinger and soon looks like we will have Aubameyang who will no doubt be an upgrade from Lukaku. Then add in 2 very promising teenagers (Chukwuemeka and Casadei) and possibly a third (Zakharyan). Might not be done after all that - still a few days left? Boehly Out!

Jordan Belfort couldn't give that turd away. We've struggled to move deadwood on all window. It's been one of the problems of the window. Edited August 26, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

I wish we could say that, you lot are definitely better at scouting than our lot, but i would be well pissed off if we kept discovering players and City kept poaching them, even if it was sh*t loads of cash. When we do discover good players we don't play them and let them wander off (KDB Salah)
August 26, 20223 yr I know it's under previous management, but look at the mess we got ourselves in for not giving Rudiger a proper pay rise when we had a year to do it. It's something Boehly and his people need to rectify. Hopefully get it done this weekend, before another hijack via some big clubs.

August 27, 20223 yr The fee drives much discussion, but reality is unproven players from abroad for lower fees (relatively speaking) just don’t get the run of games to succeed at Chelsea. Even Gallagher will struggle despite injuries to Kante and Kova (although TT should be giving Gallagher his chance now). Fofana is a great player already. We need this type of quality. His ceiling is higher than Rudiger imo, so let’s do this and develop one serious unit at the back. Also, do Fofana and Koulibaly allow us to play four at the back with a decent holding mid (not Jorginho)?

Also, do Fofana and Koulibaly allow us to play four at the back with a decent holding mid (not Jorginho)? Yeah I mentioned it in another thread. Ever since our transfer ban was lifted, the only players that have done above decent are Chilwell (player from the league) and Thiago (already proven world class talent). All of our signings from abroad have flopped more or less. Signing players from within the league might be more expensive but probably have a lot less risks.

I wonder if that is deliberate. A positive if that is what we are doing imo. Bare bones of Fofana look good. Tall, strong, quick for his size. Koulibaly and Fofana for Rudiger and Christensen isn't the worst summer in the world. Also sets us up well for a post Thiago Silva world too. Add Aubameyang and we're well placed for top 4 this year and then can then go all in for Rice next summer to build something that might compete for the title.

Rice is exactly what we need longer term infront of a back four

August 27, 20223 yr £75m addons included. Did well to bring price down again. Probably helped that Fofana pushed and Leicester are so skint they havent bought anyone yet with 5 days left. Great signing for us, hope it helps us move to a back 4, but I'm not holding my breath.
