Maybe, but confronting fare dodgers at Stratford tube is a brave, (some might say foolhardy), thing to do.

Not so brave when you have 3 or 4 bouncers with you, hiding off camera...

He's in the news today for removing every Chelsea related post on his IG. I think i've seen him negatively in news articles than i've seen him have world class games for Chelsea.

This has been one of the worst transfers we've ever made in terms of value, alongside Mudryk.

Why has he done that when I thought he was back on the verge of playing for us again?

Just checked and he is on one of those lucrative 7yr contracts. Not being funny if he breaks down again, just loan him to Strasbourg till his contract ends and pick up his wages.

His presence, and not knowing if he can remain fit screws up our squad planning.

I highly doubt there's anything in this to be honest.

Who just deletes the club they’re associated with for no reason?

Enzo bigotry and injury civil war with Maresca, think we know by now that Fofana isn’t shy to make his thoughts known.

probably got the huff that Maresca didn't play him for a full 90 last game.

Can't you remember when he said he's be back in 2 weeks and Maresca told him to be patient then he ended up needing surgery for rushing back? I get the impression he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

There is absolutely no logical reason to remove all your photos on social media of the club paying your salary. Something like this is obviously going to get people talking and if he didn't realise that then he's thicker than i give him credit for.

Always thought the bloke was a c**t. Blokes once again showing what a c**t he is.

Footballers contracts are far too protected, if I had the amount of time he’s had off sick I’d have been sacked twice over.

I don’t disagree but publicly throwing your players under the bus isn’t a good look for a manager either. If your boss went to the papers and said the worst performance the companies had was because you were working that day - you’d likely be less than impressed.

It is a criminal offence for a player like Fofana to have the audacity to be throwing a tantrum after having played 29 matches for Chelsea. I repeat, the guy is in his fourth season with us and did not even play 30 matches for the club so far.

If anything he should be looking at how Maresca and his staff managed James who used to be as crooked as Fofana.

The next two matches should be an indicator of what this social media stunt means. If he does not play at all, then he is off, probably on loan, by the time the transfer window closes. Can't say I will be dissappointed. Good riddance if so.

I have no idea why he did it but it's his personal social media he can post and remove what he wants.

Seems all is well anyway according to reports and his latest story.

He deleted all Chelsea-related posts. Over three seasons he played fewer than 30 matches for us, around 2,500 minutes in total, yet we paid £68.5m for him. I was hoping he’d be back from injury this year and make his return, but it’s clear he already knows he’s not in our plans (I assume), which he has now hinted at on social media. Or maybe we're just looking too much into it, time will tell.

This!!

If my manager said that about me publicly I would do the same on LinkedIn.

It’s my social media I can do whatever I want with it. In this instance he doesn’t have to post anything Chelsea related if he believes the manager is chucking him under the bus.

This bloke has only played 30 games in 4 years, hes just back from injury and has not reclaimed his place in the starting line up yet. He would be wise to force his way back into contention via creating the right impression in training, he was a highly rated defender a few years ago, we dont know what hes like now.

Meanwhile we are squad planning and he is not the first name on the team sheet, but he has a squad number, have i missed something?

The people upstairs making the decisions signed him knowing his injury record so it's not on him. As long as he's trying his best to become fit and available for the manager then there's nothing more he can do.

If it was me in his position I would be sitting pretty on that 7 year contract he signed.

Yea, something had definitely just happened behind the scenes, an absolute drama queen just like Wissa. Embarrassing stuff.

I don't think so. I suspect it's as simple as this, toxic Chelsea "fans" abusing him in the comments for being injured. He really should keep the comments switched off.

I'm not one for sticking up for Maresca, but it wasn't even that bad. If Fofana is going to be such a pussy over the coach publicly saying he can't play a certain role in the team, then he's not cut out for the top level of the game.

Hopefully it's a load of nothing and he had other reasons for removing Chelsea from his socials, but the timing is suspicious.

Fofana has everything to prove all over again as far as I am concerned. He isn't just going to get thrown into the team after not even playing one full season spread out over three.

I’d say a footballer that is viewed by millions of fans around the world has a bit more responsibility about his media presence than an office worker or whatever.
