I think for La Liga, it's not so much about getting more money and more about getting players wages down. De Jong's wages are so high that he is stopping them registering any new player. I also think they want more players to take a wage cut.

It literally wasn't possible to sell to us.

Leeds did nothing wrong here and there Owner was clear he wanted to sell to us.

But they couldn't physically traffic Raphina to us in the back of a van the player wouldn't sign for anyone else but Barca their hands were tied.

Raphina is so happy at Barcelona with a winning start that he could play for free😉

Leeds felt they had no choice as they can get six players,....but only if they get paid (september 2nd is a key date) should have insisted he goes to us.

Would have been nice but in reality a player's existing club can't insist that he or she join one club over another.

So Leeds haven't been paid? 😁 I don't want anyone to be mugged or robbed, but make an exception for them. A deal has been agreed, they saw an opportunity and decided to break it, serve them right if they get mugged. Lawsuit of the century? 🤣  good luck spending millions on laywers to get your money back.

I would take him on loan with an option to buy, I reckon he is a player tailor made for the PL but not the right fit for Barca. He is a winger but Barca don’t want an out & out winger, they prefer an inside forward. He hasn’t been too shabby to be fair, 7 goals & 7 assists last season in 25 La Liga games when he was backup to Dembele.
 

You would think having lost Dembele they wouldn’t entertain any interest in Raphinha, but they need funds to buy Cancelo & Felix There is also a 16yr old prodigy Lamine Yamal from La Masia who is the flavour of the month, and highly rated by the club and Xavi. There are no guarantees he will be the next Messi, could go the way of Bojan or Ansu Fati.

He's probably one of the better options considering the club want someone with PL experience and is ready to go. You'd think that a decent deal could be available but theres always the chance Barca take the p***. 

My only reservation would be how he dropped us last time, he'd need to make clear in negotiations that he wants to play for us.

He didn't just drop us. Leeds had accepted our offer. Barcelona hadn't even made an offer. He dug his heels in, broke our deal and got Barcelona to the table so he could go there.

If we are considering Raphinha probably means we have doubts on Mudryk.

As much as Barcelona have been shocking to deal with, that is when buying players selling don't think they will mess us around.

As I recall he was a left sided attacker with pace and a combative attitude. Left footed with some good free kicks and crosses.
