Romeo Lavia

Aside from Palmer, Lavia is the best at being able to move a ball quickly and thread a pin-point FORWARD pass.

Okay, he takes more risks and he will get caught in possession at times, but give me that over a player who always takes the safe option. We need the likes of Lavia to make our football not so dull.

How did he play when he came on?

He was very good. Provided a good physical presence. Did one bulldozing run where he completely went past 2-3 Spurs players which was impressive. Yes, very good.

Unbelievable how a strong and fit looking lad like Lavia can suffer so many injuries. Great player but of no use unless they can sort this out.

Nearly 2300 minutes played by age 20. If it wasn't for his fitness and sheer will he'd be retired.

It took awhile for his body to fall apart, but when it did, it seems like it can't be put back together easily. You look at his injury history and it's like his legs have decided to fall apart muscle by muscle.

I genuinely don't think he can recover properly without extremely limited minutes, or better still, a loan to a lesser league for a couple of years.

Absolutely gutted for the lad, among all the stuff about him missing games, and the horrible hatred hes getting on social media and other places, theirs a youg footballer who will be incredibly upset and frustrated that he cant just get on with playing football. Its a real shame empathy seems to have completely gone in football.

Hopefully at some point he gets to have a career of some kind. I think he basically needs to take a year out and get fixed, rest his body, get the surgeries he needs, get a proper recovery programme with no pressure to return.

Has he ever had surgery whilst being with us? Or is it just more waiting and managing minutes praying he miraculously heals. We waited far too long for Reece to get his hamstring surgery, now he's back better than ever. Why aren't we pushing for Lavia to have an op, rather than wasting more years of his career?

An operation on what? Reece had an identifiable problem. Lavia's latest isn't hamstring but a quad injury. As Sydney points out above, his legs are buggered.

Chop them off and sew new ones on.

Haven't you got a nappy to change?

That's the Mrs' job, I'm busy with my feet up at work bringing home the money.

I'm on the night shift with the baby tonight so might be sh*t posting a little later than usual on here tomorrow.

A little later has arrived and Maresca is still a bald moron. Good afternoon to all. I stand by my medical opinion that Lavia should have some form of surgery. I’m not sure what surgery but he should just take them all at this point.
