Perfect.

So let's hope Potter stops comparing himself to those two then so everyone can just focus on him literally being our worst manager in history,

Imagine Tuchel having us in a relagation battle when he took over from Lampard in January and excused himself with "i took over a club in mid season".

You know what he actually said? "Winning is in the DNA of this club and we will become a team no one wants to play against." Then the legend went on and won the Champions League on merit for the first time in the history of the club.

That's what a proper Chelsea manager is. Not this sorry pathetic excuse of one.

Won the Champions League on merit for the second time in the history of the club.....

Appointing a manager that isn't already known as one of the best would be a massive mistake from us. Poch, Zidane, Enrique etc, while they all have their flaws we need someone who's got experience at the highest level, appointing Frank is basically appointing Potter again.

This....no point sacking him after the horse has bolted. Sack him now or leave it until the summer.

What about the confidence in the new signings it will be shot if we keep until the end of the season . Honestly how many games do you think we will win with the wet lettuce in charge . The mood amongst the fans is already toxic leaving it until the end of the season could set us back years

The problem is that if Potter was a decent manager, with this squad he would be right up there challenging for the top 4 just like all previous managers have done in the recent years and that alone would make the club earn money as everyone knows playing CL is the best possible thing that can happen for a club.

The longer he's here, the more club loses money, it's that simple.

The club lost money when were winning everything under Roman.

And what with we've recently spent I can't see us making money even if we were successful.

I'm not bothered about that personally, I'm not an investor hoping to make money from our club.

Be nice to see a goal mind you before the season end 😁😁😁

TT Won the CL for the first time in the history of our club ?

Really?

At this stage Boehly is not going to save any face whether he decides to cut his losses now or in the summer. Maybe he saves some money depending on the contract terms, but little else.

Not to mention they stated the desire to run the club differently to Roman, and if the sack Potter this season they will have done something Roman never did, sack 2 managers in one season.

"on merit"

He's making the (in my opinion) valid point that in 2012 we were extremely lucky to win it, whereas in 2021 we were undeniably the best team and absolutely deserved it,

But if we're going down that route then surely the times we deserved to win it should be brought up to offset that?

2008 for definite but I'd argue 2005 and 2009 aswell. I feel the Hiddink factor combined with our hunger to avenge Moscow would have got us over the line in 2009 while I don't think Carlo would have outsmarted peak Jose in a final.

2009 for sure. But at the end of the day, 2021 is the only time we've won it whilst outplaying every team we faced, and that was with a terrible squad compared to what we had in the 2000's. Tuchel worked a miracle.

I gotcha.

I prefer to say it was fortitude, never say die, fighting against all the odds that won it for us .😁You could also say Pep trying to be clever and KDB smashed eye socket helped v City., But I don't care s magnificent win...again !

Can't see us scoring 2 goals in the return leg to go thru this year though, what a f**k up of a season it's turning out to be

Agreed it looks a long shot right now. Then again if we can score a goal or 2 against Leeds who knows? Perhaps the attacking players will remember where the goal is again.

I can't agree with that standpoint. To win a competition most teams enjoy a bit of luck along the way. But ultimately the team that wins merits the trophy. The win in 2012 was no less merited than the one in 2021.

We scored about 50 rocket shot goals in the warm up v Saints.

Why do we bother when no one wants to shoot during the game ?

We're gonna murder someone soon . Hope it's this season.😄

I'm done now, one of the excuses or reasons to keep him is because Pep expressed support. The guy does that for every coach in the league.....as does every other coach when a colleague is appointed to a job or is under pressure. It's clear to me now this consortium are clueless.

A documentary and Guardiola's mind games are the only thing keeping him in a job 😂

I'm sure Conte and the Southampton's interim manager supported Potter too, probably add the Leed's manager after Saturday 😄

You cant make this up. The last few months the results were down to injuries ( valid to a degree), now it's we got too many players he couldn't just focus on training the first team.

On the upside, I look forward to see what happens when we actually win a game. All the defeats forgotten and the process and data analysis are right all along?

Mate it's ludicrous, can't believe how far we've fallen. Imagine Potter sitting continetal and club world champion Mason Mount down and saying look at Saka you can emulate him one day a player I respect but has won nothing as of this moment.

The all or nothing documentary correct me if I'm wrong is one of the seasons they missed out on top 4 and didn't win silverware? Which if I'm right means they're glorifying mediocrity. All our rival fans are praying we keep Potter how Boehly can't see this is a problem is beyond me.

I agree. Granted there was some fortune against Barcelona, but then again we still did it without the help of a bent ref. The final itself was a bit rope a dope, but the resurgence against Napoli was good value and to beat Bayern in their home stadium Munich in a final and having conceded a penalty in extra time, that's a different level of minerals.
