Yeah I feel our CL campaign will end in the group. Losing to the bottom ranked team then drawing at home to Salzburg has been damaging.

Milan are a very good side now, and we are not. Am expecting a draw and a defeat from the 2 games against them.

Iv'e written off this season in the CL anyway, also i can't see us being in the top 5 this season either, so we won't even be in Europe next season. Were competing with Manu Brighton and Newcastle for 5th this season. I just hope we can win tonight so it will give us confidence for a tough month ahead.

Just as Gallaghers goal was written in the stars, an eye catching performance from Olly tomorrow, probably a goal or assists for Laeo, and a big display from Tomori is what I expected.

With Laeo being a standout in the return leg too.

Given these 2 and RBS away are, on paper, our "hardest" 3 group games would not surprise me if we go in to game 6 still looking for our first group stage win.

Hello again fellow comrades, back to forum after what feels like ages. Due to unexpected set of circumstances which life carries among itself, and a schedule more hectic then football in the next few months, I had to take some time away from posting. That of course doesn't mean I didn't keep an eye on the activities in our little community. Thanks @Mod for these updates, the interface looks very good to me. 😁

I have to share my overjoy here as in the meantime I was finally able to attend my first ever Chelsea game. Shame about I witnessed what could be described as a complete sh*tshow with Tuchel getting sacked the morning after, but the buzzing I was feeling throughout those days around the game and in the stands was indescribable.

Anyway, enough about wizardous. Let's move on to the topic. Some say tonight is a must win and surely that's not far from the truth. We didn't have much luck with Italian opponents in recent years, although it's fair to say that mostly applies to away games only, where we managed to lose 6 (!?) out of last 7 with only one draw.

In my opinion it's going to be a close one. No one would be surprised if they manage to beat us, but no matter how good Milan are at the moment, we should be aware that we are the better team and there is no reason to be afraid. Unfortunately I can't see a clean sheet for us, it just seems like our backline is so shaky right now that anyone can come up with a moment of brainfart sooner or later. If we manage to keep our concentration and focus for 90 minutes (which we didn't do a single time this season) I can see us scraping a narrow victory.

On the other hand this team knows how to play big games when you're under pressure. Surely Potter's got a big test ahead of him but unlike most of their lot, our players have been through these games. Experience is often a key factor as it's practically a knockout game for us and I believe our quality will somehow prevail. Milan missing both of their starting wing backs is a bonus.

I'd like to see a back three with Chalobah, Thiago and Koulibaly but it's never gonna happen is it?

Very curious to see what that guy Rafa Leao can do against the likes of our centre-backs. Same when it comes to Tonali.

To be be honest slightly nervous for this one !
Any advise for any decent pubs in the area dropped in pensioners last match day I was down ?

The Fox. Few yards from Pensioners. NO singing allowed !

Really not sure what our best team is atm. I'd like to maybe see our most mobile midfield and see how they do.

James, Silva, Cucurella

RLC, Gallagher, Kova, Sterling

Mount, Havertz, Auba

Wouldn't mind trying something like this.

CL prediction league: what minute will I fall asleep? Answers on a post card.

At least an hour ago, but that wasn't match related. It'll be a miracle if I make it past Milan's fifth minute goal, never mind Pulisic's extra time winner and @Mod 's subsequent mad dash to his bookie's.

Never been so pessimistic about getting to the KO rounds since RDM got the tic tac a decade or so ago.  Had a butchers at the highlight reel from their weekend league win, they look like a proper outfit compared to Chelsea at the moment, who have recently been a bloody shambles on the pitch. To balance that doom & gloom perspective Milan do have a 3 or 4 of injuries and CFC have historically had a knack of getting their CL campaign back on track when all looked lost, but that's mainly been in KO rounds.

Kante is a big miss as always, GP's inexperience at this level also a concern. 2-0 would go a long way to still being in the frame for continuing in the comp next year. Everything will need to go down almost perfectly for that outcome, alas something we haven't seen for months.
