One more tonight would make it TWENTY for the season already ... and not even the end of the first week of frigging October LOL

OK I've had enough of this! From now on I'm going to reply every post about Håland scoring: "Yeah, but he's ugly." That'll destroy his confidence!

Decent performance so far although we got lucky at the very end. Shame we couldn't score antoher one, Sterling should've squared it earlier...No space should be allowed, Leao is dangerous.

Did anyone see Giroud?

Can't understand Sterling on the right. He isn't half as dangerous there as on the left so get him over to that side.

I don't get Sterling on the right either.  My gripe with Tuchel was playing guys out of their natural preferred position.  Hoping Potter wouldn't do the same.

A bit of a scrappy game, but we are on top. Still can't avoid picking up knocks to our players though.

Aubameyang is the weak link. I would much rather have Broja in there, he will at least make sure he is noticed and force himself to get involved. If the chance comes, I am sure Aubameyang will take it, but it's the other side of the game he struggles with.

Mount is growing into the game and James and Chilwell are busy. Sterling needs to stop being so wasteful and the midfield, especially Kovacic, needs to spot the space to pass in forward positions.

We also need to watch out for Milan. We may look like we are on top, but Italian teams just seem to find a way when they are being outplayed. That chance at the end of the half was proof of that.

Maybe a song at the ready : "Nice goal, shame about the face ... nice goal shame about the boat race !"

He looks like an alien simulacrum of a human discerned from millennia-old etchings which somehow survived whatever apocalypse we managed to inflict on ourselves.

I think a few people thought he could probably break Shearer's EPL goal scoring record, but no one thought he might do it in one season!

A good game to watch as a fan of football.

There are positive things in our game, but I'm still against the formation with 5 defenders... Our buildup of the game is not good enough in my opinion, we're little struggling to move the ball and play in comfort through the central.

I like the energy we have, we're in game and I believe it's good chance to try and play 4-3-3. Sterling had to pass the ball to Auba, but he plays on the wrong position. He needs to do what Leao is did in the last minute.

Mount is finally showing me some of his good game. Kova and RLC are decent, I believe in possession they won't be good enough but for counter attacks they're great.

Let's hope we will double the lead and win this game, very important not to lose, it's already in our hands.

COME ON CHELS!!!!!

So fofana has done a Zouma/Chilwell eh? Well looks like those US tests could not see that coming. Real shame but this is Essien ground for him, selling him may well have been brilliant on Leicesters part.

I don't think it looked quite that bad. Chilwell could barely walk off the pitch with his injury.

Sterling has to score his chance, and that he did not is why City let him go, just not an elite level player. Very good, better than anyone else we have, but not top shelf.

Also Milan showed their reserves were one miskick away from leveling despite us dominating.

I was thinking exactly the same

I think Broja would give us a lot more than Auba in this game.

I don't think so. Although apart from that assist to Mount for the disallowed goal he's been anonymous so far. But there could be a chance for him in the 2nd half, and no one would bet against him taking it.

Decent enough first half but the danger signs are there if we are not careful.

Sterling at his most frustrating tonight. Holding onto ball too long - making wrong decision with the pass. Not sure who has been more anonymous - Aubameyang or Giroud?

Just hope we can finish this off early in the second half.

Sobering realisation for many people that TT was not a problem. Movement and quality of our play is so sluggish, mediocre and uncertain that I fear that even heavily depleted Milan will get the result there.  Watching Chelsea these days is borderline masochistic.

Aubameyang been anonymous so far, would like to see Broja given a good half about tonight

I would like to see him get a bit more than that. Give him a few starts. I can't see what Aubameyang will do that Broja can't at the moment.
