For those talking about Tuchel, the way we started off this season was dreadful. do you hand on heart think it would have gotten better and we'd be top four now? Because we looked terrible. Bad loss to Leeds, loss to Southampton, loss to Zagreb away. It wasn't getting any better. 

We will lose against the barcodes as well. Really interested which mistakes Potter makes in that game. Fraud.

We also had the McChelsea takeover and a disrupted preseason and a coach asked to do things other than coaching, it had an effect….over 6 games. Tuchel would have sorted this team by now but we will never know because we have a Swedish PE teacher at the helm

You can thank Arsenal, Manutd and Tottenham for us being around the top four last season. All three of them were awful - their points haul has increased massively this season, whilst we are continuing our 6th-placed form of the entirety of 2022. The warning signs were there. Unfortunately, we didn't act on it at all and are paying the price.

No James and no Kante or Kovacic until 78 mins, I guess Potter was concerned about Kova's recovery.

I also think the ref was biased. 

For the fans at SB really disappointing to see only 1 shot on target. 

 

The players tried to pull the wool over our eyes with that stupid little scuffle at the end.

They literally showed more fight in that 30 seconds than in the rest of the match.

The will to win wasn’t there again, that’s why we keep losing to them, we are fired up for Spurs and that’s it.

See, I think this is the reason people have so much cognitive dissonance when it comes to TT.
He won the CL, an incredible achievement, no doubt. But then they conveniently ignore the next 12-13 months where we got worse and worse despite spending huge money.
Robbie also won the Champions League with an average squad and was sacked early - do you think he should he still be in charge? Winning a CL is no measure of being the right man for the job.

Also, I never said said GP is an improvement. I’m asking you hold judgement until he’s given the same opportunity TT was to build his own team.

Aubameyang was an objectively bad signing. He wasn’t prolific at Barca in an easier league. He was frozen out of arsenal for a clear attitude problem - signing him was truly mind boggling for me, I said this when he was originally bought as well.

Cucurella, short of becoming the best LB/LWB in the world, we grossly overpaid - he could still be a good player but north of £60m is absurd, again there’s a reason city wouldn’t go above £40m.

Stering, again I was very underwhelmed. He’s a good finisher in and around the box but his general play is not great, his decision making also not great - all criticism he’s had from city fans for years, the warning signs were there.

Koulibaly - we were about 5 years late in signing him.

 

I hope you’re right and they can turn things around but two of them are 33+ so I won’t hold my breath.

 

The only two we brought in who have shown anything in my opinion in hugely limited minutes - Chuku & Zakaria can’t get close to the team.
 

I am seriously worried about us moving forward if Boehly just wants to go for any big name that’s available on the market without making sure the profiles fits.

Is it me or are fans completely disillusioned with the club. I not excited for our matches and havent been for a while. Today was also possibly the worst 90 mins i have ever seen us play. We let arsenal come and attack us for 90 minutes on our own ground. Embarassing.

And replace him with whom? Because if you are seriously talking about sacking another manager a few months after the last one, we will look like an absolute joke of a club. Fans are so fickle they want to replace a manager after a couple of losses and with key players out injured. Potter can't do much about what he's inherited, along with injuries to key players.

Tuchel had enough time to fix our attack, instead he f**ked up, signed Lukaku and didn't know how to get him going. Potter didn't have any luxury of signing a 100m player to help him out.

There are some serious questions around Potter right now, but this collection of players we have, they’d struggle to finish in the top half of the East Cheshire district Sunday league division 2 under Pep Guardiola.

Tuchel earned the opportunity to build his own team. Then he was immediatly sacked before he had a real chance with his signings.

Let's come back if Potter wins the Champions League and finish Top 4. Then he will have earned a chance to build his own team as well.

Who would you play then? What a pointless statement. I really hope this turns around, but clearly Potter is out of his depth. Yes we had some issues start of the season but we replaced most of the back line, it was always going to be up and down. I expected us to loose today but the nature of no one knowing what they were doing is all down to the managers incompetence as a coach.
