Potter’s just in the door and hasn’t made a single singing yet. No one can be pleased with this standard of play but you’re not giving him a fair crack either.

So let me get this straight:

Tuchel had to be sacked for not getting more out of this group of players despite Top 4x2, Champions League, every domestic final we competed in.
But when Potter got us sinking into mid table in record time it's because the players are sh*t?

It's scary that Boehly couldn't see any other way around it. You have a top coach in charge, so you work it out, bring in somebody that can help with bringing in the right players. But no, he would just rather sack him and bring in Potter who was never going to disagree with any demands made of him because he was never going to reject the chance to coach a team in the Champions League.

If the Uk government didn’t f**k us over with the transition of ownership, I feel like Boehly and Tuchel would have been able to sort their differences for the good of the club and work together. Instead we had Boehly being forced to work as interim technical director until he recruits people and Tuchel already jaded from a hectic season so probably just wanted to focus on coaching. I honestly feel if Tuchel was in a better place he probably would have been happy to help with recruiting.

Exactly, so we cannot expect to challenge for the title then. The previous board left us in a poor condition.

Fair point to an extent, but Boehly & Tuchel have made the situation worse. They could have patiently started rebuilding, but Tuchel went for the “we are Chelsea we need to compete for the league..” after finishing 15pts the last 2 seasons. A 1/3 of the season, & we are already 13pts behind.

If I was boehly I’d immediately draw out a recruitment plan for next season during the World Cup break. This travesty cannot stand. This team needs a massive overhaul

One league goal from open play last four games. They’re almost collectors items now

Looking at our Goals For Goals Against, sums it up.  Mid-table at best.  What Boehly should of said was that we will be rebuilding for the next 2 years and games like this and others might be a bit better to swallow, but to say he's going to make us one of the worlds best franchise was a mistake.

This is not even a team anymore. No heart, no guts, no technique, sh*t manager, sh*t owner, sh*t recruitment.

Brace yourselves for more pain this season.

There is pride in having your English club being managed by an English manager no doubt.

But let's not just have a manager because of sentiments. We did this dance with an undeserving manager before but the difference is this one is no club legend.

Happy to give him a chance for 4 or 5 years but I don't think 40 or 50 years will even make a difference.

It's not like he just started managing yesterday like Arteta. People say he deserves a chance at a big club due to what he's achieved with a small club but forget he's actually been in football management over 14 years now.

Absolutely no pleasure in watching my team these days. So unrecognisable. Not Potter's fault, sh*t show from the American in charge.

He still kept us in touching distance of Top 4 in both seasons. If we had kept faith and accepted that this is the transition year, we may have a better squad next season. Arsenal very much have benefited from having a core group of players even if this is a fluke season for them.

Now we look like finishing 10th without any hope of ever getting Top 4

Even though I'm critical of Tuchel, I do believe he should have been given a chance until the World Cup and then we could have reassessed his performance then. I said that at the time of his sacking.

The new owners should have either pulled the pin in the summer or waited until the World Cup. Doing it about 6 games into the season was poor timing.

Whether Potter is the answer remains to be seen, but it's going to be a challenge to endure this as we find out.

I never wanted potter but I got behind him gave him my support but the man’s not the right manager, the players have no idea what he wants from them, he isn’t an elite manager, has no top level experience and it’s showing it really is, you don’t spend 200 mil to come 7th

He did not spend £200m. The £200m was spent, but it needs to be wisely spent. This was not wisely spent - it was completely wasted on players who are on the wane or just not good enough.

If Potter needs time to turn it around according to the Pottersexuals here, then why don‘t give the time to a manager who already won titles with us and looks like a proper manager?
