Potter comes in and basically repeats the same mistake that Tuchel was trying to rectify I don't get what he was trying to rectify, though? Do Aubameyang (a dreadful player in the end at Arsenal - all speed is gone) and Sterling (notable for missing easy chances) improve our ability to score? If anything, they just add to it. We didn't bring anyone in as backup to James. Cucurella was not a proper backup option to Chilwell - his best asset at Brighton was defending; he didn't contribute much to a tangible attacking sense. It was also far too soon. He only had one good season at Brighton.

Did a great job until about this time last year, and then after that it was a total grind. Yeah but it was still delivering results and we actually dominated games just without scoring. Now we look confused in pretty much every game in the league.

This lot were punching well above themselves with Tuchel, put an average coach in charge and this is what we have. Finishing 4th and only winning cups against clearly inferior opposition is the standard of success now, is it? How the mindset has changed from our glory days.
November 6, 20223 yr When we bought Cucurella, did we just say "yeah, he can pass the ball, let's go get him".........because defensively he is a bag of nerves. He can't defend to save his life, he's sh*tting himself any time he needs to do it.
November 6, 20223 yr Potter isn't good enough...wrong selection, cowardice in subs, manager out of his depth
November 6, 20223 yr only solace is we are missing.. Kante, Reece, Fofana, Chilly... but still this has been dire with no guts..

November 6, 20223 yr Really hope the home fans do their part at the final whistle. Utterly unacceptable.

November 6, 20223 yr We already playing better without RLC. What the f..k Potter is trying to achieve by selecting him in every game for every position.
November 6, 20223 yr There's something deeper about thi club that's an issue. We finished 10th under Mourinho, 5th under Conte, and for the past five seasons we've finished 19/20 points behind the leader. That doesn't happen to the likes of City. I don't understand this club.
November 6, 20223 yr 4 shots to their 14.........at home. Not even tested them, it's been easy. The performance was bad against Brighton, but this is different. We are at home to Arsenal, and we haven't turned up at all, again.

It was also far too soon. He only had one good season at Brighton. There were signs of experimentations with Tuchel. Before Boehly sack him. Cucurella was clearly a Chilwell backup. Chilwell was clearly getting up to speed earlier in the season and wasn't match fit. Now that Tuchel's gone, we have to start the process all over again with someone that is a lesser version of him
November 6, 20223 yr 9 minutes ago, Droy said: And Sterling and Cucurella played very well under Tuchel. No one is looking good under the lad we have in charge right now. Cucurella was awful under Tuchel. Sterling was alright at best but had some bad games, also, where he was ineffective.

November 6, 20223 yr Such a gutless performance from this lot. Mount, Havertz, Auba and RLC should be nowhere near the starting line up against Newcastle
November 6, 20223 yr Hard to watch. Potter is not showing the instinct to correctly prepare his teams or make in game changes. Worse Chelsea team in nearly 30 years. Hopeless in every department
