February 18, 20233 yr Potter is just lucky to have him, he just knows how to play and he runs a lot to make up for the bad setup and he doesn't complain. A good manager with this player would go to some great heights.
February 18, 20233 yr I'm worried about a lot of our new signings except the defenders if this absolute sh*tshow continues. It can't be good for their confidence, Enzo isn't being used properly, and our attackers could likely finish the season with no goals or assists with the rate of our goals scored this season, and throw in the massive price tags with it. Luckily Enzo has already bagged an assist, but it's not good for him to have more performances like that when you can see he's a quality player.

To be fair Potter has tried Gallagher, RLC & now Kovacic next to him, but it was never going to work. Presently Enzo is playing deeper of the two which you don’t want, the tackling, interceptions, and duels won should be the highlight of his partner not his. Kante next to him will be a disaster as he will instinctively hunt the ball.

In the interim that means either Felix sits out or has to play as an inside forward on the left. Which also leaves a Murdyk issue.

Zakaria is by far the most natural fit for the pivot alongside Fernandez, and has the positional sense and discipline to give Fernandez free reign to do what he does best. His physicality and pace also complement Enzo perfectly.
