And if you say (rightly) that he shouldn't be getting credit for James smashing it in from 35 yards then surely the same applies in reverse when he puts it on a plate for a forward player only for them to mess it up? He controls it and manages to dribble another 15 yards past a defender and slot it bottom corner. His assist V Newcastle was very good though. So in 5 seasons he's managed two good assists, Enzo has done the same in 6 games. As i said to the other poster, astronomical upgrade. I don't mean literally credited but I've always been of the opinion the 'assist' stat needs redefining (Look at Villa away last season for example, in context of the passages of play Callum got 3 assists but on record he only had 1) and even then I'd still use chances created as a bigger barometer of creativity. You could make the best pass in football history but still be totally reliant on another player doing their job for it to go on record. Ofcourse Enzo is an upgrade, but there won't be many if any midfielders that compare favorably against him for aslong as he's playing.

Enzo's transfer fee would be 150m for the next 4 seasons. Madrid aren't going to pay that. If Enzo is gone within 4, I'd be shocked.
