January 7Jan 7 The biggest problem with Enzo is that we are probably stuck with him!We have no shortage of players we need to move on if we are ever to take ourselves seriously as a team with a chance of winning anything under than a stupid f**king golden chicken nugget on our shirt and Enzo is clearly one of them.

January 7Jan 7 Like I wrote in the other thread, I think that's a limitation of the roster really: we have a number of players who will play no matter what (form, fitness, etc). Enzo just happens to be one of them. Finally seeing Santos play more and I think he's a good tackler and a good Caicedo option when we are missing him. I haven't seem him do much in attack at all, so rather not speculate there.Lavia is perma-wrecked, Essugo (another 20yo fresh) is injured as well, and that's about it for midfield (aside from James and Gusto cameos). It simply is not possible for professional players that young to get injured that often and be treated like babies everytime they get back. I mean there are players like Kane or Lewandowki who I swear to God that I feel like I see them playing every three days, for both club and country and never get injured and are way into their 30s. Lavia was supposed to be Caicedo's partner in midfield but he is never available, Fofana was supposed to be one of the main center backs, yet he is never available. A lot of things must be addressed this summer. Can't start yet another season thinking who's minutes we should manage and how much we should rotate just so they do not get injured playing more than two weeks in a row like we are the f**king NHS and not a football club...

For a cm he is absolutely useless. We're basically a man down because he doesn't do one single thing to a high level.
January 8Jan 8 Think Enzo gets a rough of it tbh. 25 goals, and 25 assists in about 150 games is really good from midfield. He is very good footballer, maybe not the most athletic, but personally dont want to watch 11 super atheletes run about for 90 mins. If Palmer or Estavao, did that Maradona turn against City and put in on a plate for Neto, people would be waxing lyrical about it, Enzo does it, and its almost radio silence. He is miles clear of Gravenberch and Macallister, who were good enough to win the league last year. If he came for £40m I think people would actually rate him more. Much bigger issues, we have expensive forwards that have put up worse numbers, and we have centre backs and a goalkeeper that wouldnt look out of place in the Wolves team that a rock bottom.

He reminds me when we signed Cuadrado under Mourinho.
January 8Jan 8 Worst part is, Enzo and Neto seem to get more minutes than most and yet NEITHER should be in the starting 11 when everyone is fit.
January 15Jan 15 Thought he played well on the ball going back to his more deeper/sitting role.Few issues with him being left to cover a lot of spaces on the counter when Cucu went forward but overall wasn't too bad.

He isn’t displacing Vitinha or Ruiz either. This is his agent being mischievous and fishing for an improved contract.

I knew then and there he was going to leverage Pastore's great relationship with the PSG board. Reports are coming out of Lequipe and they are reliable inside Paris.

January 15Jan 15 Yeah... I'd be happy to see him go - I don't think he really get's on with a lot of the other players - seems a bit aloof - probably the coach thingI mean the sing song on the coach - although it's quite conceivable the two (sing song and Liam) might now be linked and causing him to feel a little awkward 😁 Edited January 15Jan 15 by Bebe1980
January 15Jan 15 This may be just posturing from agent to get him a better deal, but he would probably benefit from a move to one of the European leagues. He is not suited to the physicality of the Premier League, but I think he would do well in French/Spanish/Italian leagues.
