This is all on us, Benfica are doing what's right for them. They have made some crazy fees from the likes of Nunez and Felix, they know what they are doing and don't need to sell him.

We made the mistake of low balling them earlier when we told them we would pay up.

I imagine other leagues don't like Premier League clubs throwing their power around.

Honestly couldn't give a sh*t whether we sign him or not. Never heard of him before the world cup, and he's still inexperienced. Based on the past history of our big money transfers, they never work out.

I've never seen a transfer negotiation quite like this one!  I don't want to jinx it, but i went to bed last night really excited, but woke up with a feeling it won't happen.  Yep, that feeling probably ended the deal. 

If we don't sign him in an hour we never will. Please sign him, he's automatically the best midfielder in the league after De Bruyne and thus we got the best January signing ever.

You have no idea if this will work out if he signs. Don’t want to be that guy, but feel I need to be. This is a player with huge potential, huge fee and huge risk

I'm convinced and fully confident that he works perfectly and all accordingly regardless of where he goes next. That's how much I'm sure about this kid, there is only one way to find out though!

Every player is though to be honest. We signed Fofana for three quarters of this amount and he came here with an injury record and broke straight away.
