March 8, 20233 yr With our luck regarding injuries it would be wise to rest our wingbacks, Fofana and Kai. Will go for Kepa Chalobah koulibaly Badiashale RLC. Kovacic. Enzo. Cucurella Mount. Fofana. Sterling
March 8, 20233 yr I'm thinking mudryck might get a few minutes here. And yes I'd play the wing backs you mention. Might even give Kova a rest. He's carrying a knee injury.
March 8, 20233 yr I would play our strongest team to build on the confidence and develop team spirit. We can also always make subs if we are winning easily and lets not forget players can get injured while in training.
March 8, 20233 yr A game after a big Champions League night... hopefully the team is fired up. I expect Mudryk, Fofana, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Chilwell and James at least start.
March 8, 20233 yr CL quarter final date will be between Wolves and Brighton. (Week of April 10th) I'd rotate here but not much. Leicester are in horrible form. Kepa Chalobah Koulibaly Badiashile RLC Kovacic Enzo Cucurella Sterling Havertz Felix
March 8, 20233 yr I would play the strongest team we have, we are away to a team that can turn it on lets not encourage that and continue the momentum. Also it's Fofana's return to Leicester so probably should play (assuming he wants to).

March 8, 20233 yr At this level, players should be fit enough to play Tuesday and then again on Saturday, so we really should play the best line up we can put out to keep the winning run going and build some momentum. The next three games (Leicester, Everton on 18th March, and Villa on 1st April) are very winnable games in the context of who we have left to play this season ... we'll only have two games left against sides in the lower half after these ones ...
March 9, 20233 yr Leicester's pitch is really big and a perfect game for pacey wide players such as Mudryk to make an impact. I would like to see him start this game with Sterling on the other flank.
March 9, 20233 yr In the minority here but I don't want to see Mudryk start. Given he had barely a pre-season and was ill he is clearly not match-fit and needs to be blooded in slowly to avoid the pressure building on him. Fofana is a must, bound to score against his old team.
March 9, 20233 yr We don't have a game in midweek so unless there are injuries, or risk of injuries, start the same side that played Dortmund. They got the job done on merit they deserve it.
March 9, 20233 yr We definitely need to rest both Chilwell and James. Do we have backup for both? Not really But 352 hybrid that tuchel used early in the season is an interesting option Raheem - Kai Cucu - Mount - Enzo - Ruben - Ziyech Badi - Koula - Fofana
March 9, 20233 yr Not sure what we should do with the starting lineup. I agree with those who think we should be resting Chilwell and James, but we don't have proper cover at right wing-back, and while I would like to see us try to consolidate Cucurella's good performance against Dortmund, I don't [ever] want to see him at wing-back. That leaves us with a choice between reverting to a back four, or starting him over Badiashile, who is a significantly better player. So we're either left with this: Chalobah-----Fofana-----Badiashile----Cucurella ----------------------Zakaria -------------Fernández-----Loftus-Cheek or --------Fofana-------Koulibaly------Badiashile/ ---------------------------------------Cucurella Loftus-Cheek---Fernández------Zakaria--------Hall I have a horrible feeling Potter's answer will include Ziyech in some capacity or other...
March 9, 20233 yr Confidence plays a big part in form. Up until last weekend we were very low on confidence, and it was hard to see where the next goal was coming from. Let alone a win. After the win against Dortmund I suspect the whole squad feels a lot better about itself and will go into game against Leicester with renewed confidence. Leicester on the other hand have had a rough week or 2 and I suspect their crowd will grow quickly turn on the team and manager if the game does not go their way. Hopefully we can pile the misery on for them.

Think it would be best to bring him off the bench for now (certainly ahead of Pulisic). As of now, Felix, Havertz, Sterling is our best front three and best we continue it so they gain more cohesion and sharpness heading into the final end of the season.
March 9, 20233 yr IMHO the key to us winning matches is the speed at which we 1) play the ball and 2) get it up the pitch and into the danger zone. Chopping and changing players and systems slows us down and makes us ineffective - the play becomes slow and it's easy for the opposition to get players back and defend their box. Not rocket science, but if we do what we've been doing more recently: 1) make lots of changes to the team and 2) run for the first 20-25 minutes and then put our feet up We're not going to win.
March 10, 20233 yr I hope both Fofana and Chilwell start as the Foxes fans will be on to them and raise the atmosphere, think our players might rise to a big game atmosphere. Even better if one of those scores. No problem if once in front Potter closes out the game, if our players look knackered and they are coming on looking fresher it makes sense to me.
March 10, 20233 yr It really should not matter who the starting XI is. We have a great squad depth. AND with 5 subs per game. We should be able to bring 16 players on to the pitch who are capable of beating the Foxes. That said, our last away win was ten games and nearly half a year ago.

Both have come back from serious injuries. I'd rest both of them and James.
