neither Villa or Forest have one anything for over 30 years, they're big clubs in their home towns , Chelsea are a global club now... bit of a difference

Honestly can’t see where the next win comes from, might sound ridiculous but we could get dragged into a relegation battle we’ve got some very difficult games coming up.

What is it to escape relegation? 40pts apparently. I can't see where the next point is coming from, let alone the next 3. What a shambles considering all the money spent.

Villa have loads more quality than Wolves, though. 

 

Our patterns of play were forming and improving.  We were a striker away from GP having a real shot of doing something.

That's probably exaclty how Villa and Forest thought 30 years ago!!  English football was global even before the US got on the Premier League bandwagon!

At home versus away, different team, same sh*t really. 

If anything, Frank's subs were better, not that that's a high bar to beat.

Kepa - 5 - Couldn't do anything about the goal, kicking was terrible at times.

Cucurella - 4 - Rubbish signing, well out of his depth.

Koulibaly - 4 - Loves to play slow motion football, another terrible signing.

Fofana - 6 - Not bad, but not great either.

James - 3 - Get's away with too much from our fanbase. World class? yeah right, only when things are going smoothly. Hasn't got the right mentality to be our next captain. Amazing that so many of our youth players went through the academy watching the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba but didn't pick up any of their character.

Enzo - 4 - Worst game in a Chelsea shirt so far. Why is he always so deep for us? Is this what we bought him to do because the Enzo I saw at Argentina and the bits I saw at Benfica was involved in everything. He's way too static for us.

Kovacic - 2 - Like watching the Kovacic under Sarri. Invisible.

Gallagher - 4 - Always works hard but as usual, the quality is terrible. Bang average footballer, possibly worse than average.

Felix - 3 - Nothing came off, horrible performance.

Sterling - 2 - Another bad signing, they're all on display today!

Havertz - 2 - Sell him, don't care if he magically turns it around and destroys the garbage in the Bundesliga for Bayern. The bloke doesn't give a sh*t.

subs: 4 for all, none of them improved anything.

It's not just up to Potter. In fact, he was probably the least of the problems.
The whole transfer strategy (if it's a strategy, say hello to Todd) is to look at who other clubs want and we screw them with more money, without ever thinking about whether these players are right for us.
These 7 year contracts are of no use at all. Players think they are untouchable.

We have among the best batch of kids at our Academy in the world. We keep selling them all. Why not clear everyone out on the first team over age 25, which solves our FFP issues, then throw the youth at the first team for a year and see how they do? I am fine being 10th-12th with youth that care and put in effort while we see who is ready for prime time. Then we become careful in the transfer market to plug the gaps and build-up from there? This mess won't be solved in one or two transfer markets so perhaps a top to bottom cultural change is needed? Just a thought.

Even Villa 8 points clear of us.

blame the UK Govt for forcing the sale of the club... how was it ok to accept RA as a fit and proper owner for 20 years, then decide he's too close to the Russian Govt and sanction him ffs... 

I think our poor performances in the league compared to the Champions League are also partly due to the fact we have barely anything to play for in the league versus everything to play for in the CL. Can't imagine the team playing this badly in a different context.

Teams have been relegated with 42 points in a 20-team (38 game) competition.

Look at Tottenham. Didn't perform well, but then they have Harry Kane to win them games single handily.
