Cucurella is playing well, all the credit is for Courtois, the main responsible for RM winning last CL.

Yep that's we use to have with him, prime Mendy and Cech. The supposed unsaveable gets saves.

You people are delusional if you think that this first half was actually good. Real Madrid hasn`t even gotten out of first gear yet they had the same amount of shots on target as us while we are the ones having to overcome a 2 goal deficit.

Playing nicely, the more threatening team etc. etc.

All moot because we can't score. Finding it hard to get any sort of strong emotions as generally whether we play 'well' or not, the goals don't happen and don't look like they'll happen.

Seems a few enjoy us being down to 10 players and want Felix on.

Am sure you will get your wishes at some point.

Mudryk and Mount are on the bench too. Can`t expect to score when all you have is Havertz. Kante and Gallagher running around the opponent`s half is not going to cut it.

If this lot applied themselves like this every game, we wouldn't be where we are this season and I would have actually believed Potter when he would say "the lads gave everything". They didn't give everything and they haven't been giving everything all season, tonight is proof of that.

There has been multiple games like this of late, especially since Enzo has arrived.

I genuinely think we have a good chance if Mount replaces Gallagher now. The team shape is good but not enough firepower. It really could have been a master stroke by Frank if Mount started.

Gallagher is clearly out of his depth.

Should have scored twice. The last one from Cucurella. Goodness, take it first time son!

Positive signs. This is tailor made for Mount in my view.

I would swap some of our nice looking football to just someone finishing chances. Ugly but effective is what we need.

Fine with those 2 coming on, just not Felix.

When you boil it all down, football is a simple game, to win you need to outscore your opponents, take note of the word score in outscore !

For all the huffing and puffing of that 45 the 3 little Madrista pigs are safe and sound in their Casa del dos zero

Nope, not the same appetite at all. There were games where we would dominate the ball, but it was still slow and took an age to make something happen. Tonight though you can see how much more progressive we are, we don't spend an age passing it sideways, there is willingness to pass through the lines quickly and we have players busting a gut all over the pitch.

Why do I keep hearing that RM never got out of first gear, in this leg and the previous. How could anyone possibly know that? People rate RM way too highly as if they are some mythical beast lol

If we could get a striker who could just do 5 yard tap ins and nothing else we'd double our goal tally for the season.

They've cultivated a hell of a mystique.

That was much better than I expected (especially considering my whining in response to the starting lineup). It has been part tactical brilliance, part absurdist self-parody.

So none of our attacking players are any good and none of them could score a goal if their lives depended on it? f**k it, we won't start any of them except the tallest one, and we'll stick the two running-est midfielders we have as his main support.

So our only creative threat comes from our wing-backs? Well we only have one competent (and half-fit) wing-back available; park him as high as possible up the pitch, and when he can't make it back to defend the penalty box we'll pretend we're doing that thing Tuchel did last year with Loftus-Cheek.

So we had an immobile centre mid with no tangible qualities starting every game when we last won the Champions' League? A half-injured Kovačić can fill that role!

So there's been a years-long debate about whether or not Kanté is a holding mid after Sarri adjusted his role? Well f**k it, let's push that to the next extreme and position him as our second-highest player.

Mason Mount will surely decide is; it feels like the fates themselves demand it. Come on lads!
