February 4, 20242 yr He appears to have lost the dressing room. But due to FFP I doubt Clearfake cannot apparently pull the trigger on his contract and hire a better replacement. Even if Clearfake have a sack the managers contingency plan in place, but I doubt that. Clearly this coaching team are not hitting required performance metrics with the player’s available. But making the cup final has likely bought them some more time to lose a few more games, even if we get embarrassed at Wembley the coach won’t get the tic tac imo. Owners severely misjudged this industry upon massive entry investment, and we the legacy fans must pay by suffering. But we know they are on the record as saying legacy fans don’t interest them as it’s a global market they seek. They now apparently cannot afford to buy more desperately needed experienced players before selling not good enough players that were overpaid for mostly. Palmer, Petrovic and Nkuku aside. So with the same coaching team and same squad with constant same number of injuries season long, nobody can expect this mostly poor form on the pitch to change anytime soon this season or next.

February 4, 20242 yr None of the usual journalists that cover Chelsea (Matt Law, Romano, Ornstein etc) have posted the usual "Pochettino's job is not thought to be under immediate threat" tweet yet so I'm crossing my fingers that something is happening behind the scenes regarding Poch's sacking

We need someone on the way up - like Potter - but unlike Potter need to ensure they have the personality to deal with being a top tier manager. These two have it. Thought of applying for the SD job if they bomb Bert and Ernie? Agree with both of your choices so far. If a possible poach for Scaloni is also your thinking we are definitely on the same page!

February 4, 20242 yr Even though I’m a “Poch in” guy, I must admit, today felt like a turning point. Poch lost a lot of support today from the fans. Im beginning to wonder whether Poch has spent 7 months with this squad and is struggling to get anything out of them.

I personally just think there's no one out there to replace him so its better to leave him until the end of the season and see where we are. Sacking him risks us struggling the way we did when we sacked Potter.

February 4, 20242 yr Maybe they have a clause in his contract that will let them terminate without compensation, depending on how sh*t we are doing.

February 4, 20242 yr He was my first choice before he arrived and I was beyond excited when he arrived, but I am losing faith by him, game by game. He seems out of his depth and doesn't lool like he knows what he is doing. The lack of team cohesion is astonishing. The way Wolves played today was a perfect example of a well coached team. They were running rings around us all game. Poch on the otherhand was schooled. It was embarrassing. The first half was awful. The goal came out of no where and we had no real control all game. What was more shocking was that Poch did not make a sub at H/T when it was clear a change was needed. Then even in second half, we looked worse. Caicedo is getting a lot of blame, but Poch is defo to blame. Keeps leaving him isolated and Enzo keeps pushing up. Coach the bloody two to sit deep and build possession. I thought Caicedo was better than Enzo and Gallagher personally and we looked worse when Caicedo went off. Caicedo did not have a good game but he did recycle the ball well from Wolves pressing football a couple times or so. It is a shame because my heart really wants him to turn this around but my head is saying that this is just not going to work.
February 4, 20242 yr Just watching a cohesive Chelsea unit playing free flowing pass and move football, with a midfield maestro stamping their superiority and pulling all the strings. Well done Erin Cuthbert on a beautiful goal.

I support the club, not a certain manager or a player and I don't care if my prediction before a season or a match is right or wrong. Even if I thought we'd win the league before the season or that we'd be dog turd it is irrelevant at this point. Truth is he is probably the worst manager in charge of one world's best clubs. I don't want to give examples of top managers in charge of top clubs that play an attractive brand of football. Best example I can give you is the guy in charge at Bournemouth. Same time in the job as Pochettino, a bang average squad, yet they look like prime Barcelona in comparison to us in terms of tactics. They have a clear style of play and an identity. If that guy can do it with a worse squad in the same amount of time then clearly what's happening at Chelsea can't be 100% on the players. I concur, take the Mudryk enigma, now this kid could play, at his level he can beat anyone, Even Shevardnadze who knows a decent player, said the kid is Gold, what has Poch done to him, PL defenders aren’t that much better than what he played against, aren't we slightly concerned what Poch has done to him, like Jose trying to dull Joey Coles brilliance..

I will absolutely not accept that we have bad players, if we went bankrupt tomorrow 80% of them would be picked up by the biggest clubs in the world. They weren't bad players before and they haven't suddenly become bad players overnight, they're being badly let down by an awful manager.

All entitled to different opinions, for me out of our Todd era signings, only Palmer and Nkuku seem to have the quality I would expect for our club. Madueke? Mudryk? Cucu? Jackson? Hell I’m worried about Caicedo too.

I bet you'd never even heard of half of them before they turned up at Stamford Bridge LOL

Every issue at present stems from decisions Poch is making, every single one of them. Caicedo is ripping up seats in the dugout out of frustration, Silva is clearly explaining to his wife how poor the tactical instruction is. We can see, time after time, the space on the pitch, our non-existent structure, positional mess. It’s all there for us to see. We’re not even doing the basics right.
