I am confused with this. Pool var  mistake was a simple honest mistake. There was no bias, nothing, it was genuine protocol error, so it doesn't  hurt the game's integrity whatsoever.

Now, onana penalty, Ake offside, Cucu hair pull or Bruno offside goal on the other hand make you question var.

Totally agree.

I love it. They love VAR when it’s calling Lukaku and Havertz offsides by a millimeter or when Keita almost castrated Chalobah so it’s funny seeing them change their tune.

As DKW mentioned, haven’t seen anything near the same energy when Mike Dean openly admitted to cheating during the Cucurella hair pull.

Do you know that the VAR who thought the officials had allowed the Diaz goal at Spuds was the same VAR who reviewed the Keita studs-in-the-nads foul on Chalobah (which required stitches) and thought it wasn't a red card? That foul should have see Liverpool reduced to 10 men in the first half of a cup final that they went on to win. Where was all the talk of 'sporting integrity' being undermined? Where was our apology from the PGMOL?

Chalobah revealed the tackle left him needing stitches in his leg and questioned the decision of referee Stuart Attwell to not award a free-kick or a card before VAR Darren England also dismissed the incident.

I can't really blame the dippers for fighting their ground, the difference is that Chelsea Club has never called the refs off with the amount of evidence there is. Two referees have come out and said publicly that they have premeditatedly taken decisions against Chelsea and, what has the Club done? Nothing.

When Tuchel mentioned in an interview that all the players dread having Anthony Taylor as ref because of his history of shocking decisions against us he was instantly investigated and fined £20k by the FA.

Yeah, I meant the Club, Roman/Todd. Compile all the evidence and send it to the PGMOL, FA, the media, the courts, wherever, but do something. And if the coach is fined, the Club should contest it with the evidence. Nothings is done by Chelsea (and other clubs to be honest), and though I have no sympathy for the dippers, I’d like Chelsea to make some noise when we are blatantly cheated and referees have publicly admitted to it.

I'd be worried if we play Liverpool in the next few games, they will get a few calls going their way in the next few games as a way of balancing it out. We should have made a lot more noises, bad calls against us were just business as usual, against Liverpool and VAR is in crisis.

@dkw is right - intent only comes into play for handball or upgrading an offence to violent conduct. If you foul someone unintentionally while being careless, it's still a foul. IFAB

Maybe you need to read the rules and look at the video again...

Go on then, go find in the rules where it says about intent regarding a sending of.

You're the one who keeps on harping on about "intent"...

I said:

"He may have taken the guy out but it was probably accidental and/or unintentional in which case there was no act for the ref to deem "unfair""

And my understanding of the rules, supported by wiki is along the lines of:

fouls and misconduct are acts committed by players which are deemed by the referee to be unfair and are subsequently penalised.

So as I think I said earlier, perhaps you need to familiarize yourself with the rules and look at the video again...

So literally no lectionary of intent, well done in basically defeating your own argument.

As for me going on about it, you and others claimed there was no intent, I just pointed out that didn't matter for the rule. Which you have now proven, cheers.

Presumably Bellingham's Zidane cosplay rings a bit hollow when he looks back and sees Kepa in goal.

It's damning that playing for the state-backed 'biggest club in the world' can be considered a sandbox for a truly elite player in modern football. It's more tempting by the day to f**k it all off and follow Oadby Town...

Onana is sh*te. United's obsession with getting a ball playing goalkeeper made them take their eyes off the fact that they still need a keeper that can make saves. De Gea had a mistake in him, but he made a lot of saves, something Onana is incapable of. De Gea also kept the most clean sheets last season too.

It's a foul if you endanger a player, whether intentionally or not .

Watch out Liverpool, we're going to take your "victim" trophy off ya !

Arsenal losing to Lens? Is it 1999 again?

Back soon, going to stick a bottle of whisky in my hand luggage then buy a house for £75 when I return.

That Lens support was f**king awesome , I could listen to that anthem all night, especially while they're beating Arsenal, very moving!😁
