Personally think signing a player with an ego like he has is only going to end one way. Guaranteed 30 goals a season but sacrifice any game plan you have to fit him in for his own personal glory and end up with an unhappy squad in 6 months time.

Summary of rumours so far:

Chilwell mentioning Mbappe's name during the trophy lift, i imagine he's making a light hearted joke about the rumours

'Indy Football' an absolutely nothing source so far as i can tell, but shared by Simon Phillips

The I Paper? Yeah i've never heard of them either...

 

And yet Boehly has been stripped of his responsibilities since November. 

This is like when Messi "almost" joined us in 2015.

The Chilwell thing is actually Enzo saying something in Spanish. Watch Enzo's mouth before the camera pans away from him, it's clearly him speaking.

We made systematic sacrifices to accommodate Hazard's non existent off the ball game.

It's fine when it's done for a player who gives more than he takes out, it's when it's done for someone like Lukaku it becomes a problem.

However it's most probably a very moot point, unless Drogba's pulling power (they're good friends) comes into play I highly doubt we'd even be in his thought process.

Could you imagine the sodium levels from rival clubs if we were able to sign him. 

Personally the guy is too high maintenance & clearly wants Madrid ultimately.

As Wilson pointed out on the Guardian podcast, you need to field an extra defender to make up for his refusal to do any defensive work whatsoever.

We're just being used by PSG to bait Madrid into an offer, they're desperate. They've offered him financial incentives to keep him at the club as a hail mary to try and win the CL last year. They didn't and he's going to (rightfully) take them to cleaners and they're scurrying to find a resolution. 

Saudi was financially plausible as they could potentially match or improve the package he is set to make from his loyalty bonus'. 

But without that option, Madrid are surely the only ones that could come close, but why would they? They'll get him much cheaper next year. 

Could genuinely see a scenario where PSG accept a highly reduced offer which involves Madrid covering the loyalty bonus'. They'll use us and any other club to keep it as high as possible.

Not going to happen and not what we need when rebuilding as it will only be for year. 
Still I’d love to see him in a Chelsea shirt.

Unlikely to happen, but hell make it happen at all cost. Yes, he will be high maintenance and make the dressing room toxic, but it's not like we were not toxic last season.

Ive always skipped mbappe/chelsea news stories as given his valuation and wages, its really not something i think we'd entertain these days. But i must say that once a loan was mentioned ive started to take more notice. If you look at the whole situation with him, his club and his future plans, a loan to the prem for this season really makes alot of sense. Psg need to try and manage their losses, the prem is a league with money and the motivation to take him for a season. If the alternative is psg paying mbappes wages in full for the season whilst mbappe rots in the background then it would seem to be a lose lose for everyone. Add to that, chelsea are not a champions league threat to psg this year so they are not strengthening an opponent.  It might all be b.s but i do believe bohely craves a signing opportunity like this.
