Like someone said in another thread he isn’t better than Morgan Gibbs who Forest paid £42m. There is a reason big European clubs don’t bother looking inside the PL for talents, they are well overpriced. You pay 20/30 m premium for pl player.

Not sure that's true, the past few years we've banked a lot from selling academy players. Tammy Abraham AS Roma €41.00m Fikayo Tomori AC Milan AC €31.60m Marc Guéhi Crystal Palace €23.34m Mason Mount Man Utd €64.20m Ruben Loftus-Cheek AC Milan €16.00m Ethan Ampadu Leeds €8.10m Maybe pushing it with Ampadu but that's around £140m sold in 3 years, thats not bad going.

I think the price differences (e.g. Brennan Johnson at 40m vs. some of the academy players we have sold) is also seen depending on who is buying and selling. For example City sold Lavia to Southampton for 10m or so. A year later he is valued at 5 times that price. But City would probably struggle to get 50m for Cole Palmer.

August 18, 20232 yr These feel like slightly desperate signings to me. I’d rather wait to see what we’ve got with our existing options. These feel a bit West Ham level
August 19, 20232 yr Last night against SU summed him up. Quick, a decent assist, but rarely in the right place at the right time. His judgement and instincts are lacking.
August 19, 20232 yr I'd rather play one of the other dozen wingers we've got on our books than buy this c**t for £50m.

That's a healthy one but I should have clarified I meant those on cusp of making the team rather than already established squad players. As an example , compare Gordon now of Newcastle but when at Everton how elong had he been in the first team and how many games under his belt when they were demanding £50m. Even Tammy who had lots of experience in UK and with us for near 2 seasons couldn't command a £40m fee

Assuming that he would be brought in to provide cover for Nkunku's position rather than be out and out striker. He managed 8 Premier League goals last season which isn't bad for a support striker, and sadly was more than any of our players managed. A loan there for Santos would be interesting. The opportunity for some Premier League experience and Steve Cooper is a decent manager. On the negative side we would almost certainly have to pay a Premier league premium for a domestic player.

Brennan is crap, and was looking forward to seeing Santos in PL action for us ... albeit having also signed Caicedo, Lavia and Ugochukwu since pre-season I don't now see him getting much opportunity sadly ... so a loan for him is probably now a necessity, but a hard no to this Johnson guy ffs.

Santos was not even on the bench yesterday so he absolutely needs a loan to develop, he cannot be our 5th choice, or worse, at this stage of his career. Johnson will be a SWP level of flop imo.

August 21, 20232 yr Im all in for Mason Greenwood. But I bet Chelsea won't be as he won't cost 100million pounds and doesnt play for Brighton.
August 21, 20232 yr Sorry he’s just not good enough for us , can’t we sign any outfield players over the age of 22 .
