I finally read the palmer thread on redcafe.

Lol, there's quite a few delusional ppl on there. I also found the ones hoping chelsea go bankrupt and/or are forced to sell palmer quite funny too.

But the one that made me crack up is how man utd is better than Chelsea as they won the carabao and fa cup the last few years and we ONLY have a champions league trophy in that time. 🤦‍♂️

Honestly I hope not.. still hope Palmer continues to play 10 .. Jackson improves.. sancho cooks.. and Madueke becomes first team quality.. he currrent bar is too low.. if Esteban ea ye to be regular he should have to score or assist every game.

I jest.  I was mainly concerned with where and how we are going to play them all?

I have long advocated Palmer as 10, many on here suggested his best position was wide.   I still think Palmer's best position might be as a false 1.  Rush goalie.  Flood the box.

Most of them are fair, it's only a tiny minority of idiots..

Just the fact they have supporters from loads of different teams makes it balanced.. You could never get that on a Spuds, Pool or Arsenal forum..

Even on a poor day, he still managed to grab an assist and have a few moments of brilliance. Can't be all on him though, the others need to chip in when he can't.

Of course happy for him, but this is a joke of an award, and cant have been voted on based on his output for Eng-er-land.  He has only started 2 games!

In his very limited minutes for England he made a much bigger impact than anybody else.

Of course he scored in final too. Makes me mad Southgate didn’t even use him, what a pathetic excuse of a human being.

I would argue that bellinghams last min overhead kick, and Pickfords penalty saves were more important to the cause and more justified.  I would probably have chosen Pickford

That's sorted it then, if that f**kwit thinks it's wrong then it's 100% right. 

The thing is, Palmer has the ascendancy. Whereas Kane, Bellingham & Foden all had poor Euro's, Palmer was a breath of fresh air every time he took to the pitch. It was only Southgates conservative and cautious management style that meant he didn't get more minutes and who knows, he could have won us the tournament.

Everyone recognises this lad is special and he deserves every award going.
