Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!

Featured Replies

I think it's a bit harder for him in the middle. He's had his best games there but also his worst. He's been great this season in total. But I feel he was more consistent last season. This season he's had brilliant games, but also 2 or 3 duds. Not worried at all though. 😊

Nothing to worry about.

Palmer is class. It’s only his second season as a regular pick and he will have bad games. Hazard had bad half seasons never mind games.

Maybe Neto was the only one who filled any of the three positions behind Jackson that came away from that game with pass marks.

It was a bad day at the office for more than Palmer.

My biggest concern for Palmer is the sh*tty media.

He seems to me to be a very level headed kid. I don't think that he's as influenced by social media and journalists as other kids this age, so not too worried about the media.

I know he’s humble which I like a lot but it’s more the media built up then tears you down and they have already started to question him around big games.
And we all know our media doesn’t stop once they get their claws into you.

Which is quite simply daft.

In the space of a season:

Scored in Super Cup Final

Scored in Euro Final

United - 4 Goals

Spurs - 1 Goal & 1 Assist

City - 1 Goal

Arsenal - 1 Goal

This guy ❤️

And to think he is about 3 years away from entering his prime. Terrifying.

Must keep him at all costs. Basically most of the players in the squad are projected to hit their primes at the same time which could make for an incredible team should this project develop as it is supposed to be.

That's the really exciting bit...we just have to be patient and let them grow for 2-3 more years. All of them hitting the 25-26 Yr old prime together will be amazing. Also a couple of whippersnappers in Estavao and paez for the speed on the outsides.

Oooooo   😍

Palmer has a staggering contribution in his 56 games for Chelsea across all competitions, with a ridiculous 45 in 42 in the league for the Blues across just 14 months. The numbers don't do Palmer justice, though.

For instance, his scarcely believable and downright illogical ball for Pedro Neto in the first half at Stamford Bridge does not get recorded in these basic metrics. Picking the ball up just outside his own area, swivelling on a first touch and then bending a pass between two defenders despite facing the wrong direction, Palmer was the influence behind the goal.

I love this kid...

i know its a cliché but he really does come across as a young child playing with his mates on the street. "Let me go, why you talking to me! I could have scored that goal with my mates, instead I'm here and you asking me questions..." lol

I really hope he stays grounded.

Chelsea striker Cole Palmer, speaking to Sky Sports: "I try and go out there and play my game. That is what I do."

On people saying you are unstoppable: “I wouldn’t go that far. I always try to enjoy my football game by game. I try to not put pressure on myself. Many people on the outside try to put pressure on me to replicate what I did last season in terms of numbers. It is my second season playing football and I am still very, very young."

Thoughts on Chelsea and fighting for top four: "We just try to play our own game, block the noise out from the outside. We don't mind proving people wrong.

“We are all young and we have a top coach, but there are improvements still."

On being compared to Gianfanco Zola: “I know he is an icon on Fifa so he must have been good. To be honest I didn’t really watch him play. Everyone says he was a great player, so thank you.”

If he does not make it Cole Palmer FC, we rarely win.

Disappointing from him today. Of course forgivable given all he brings. Nevertheless a poor performance.

I think we were good in the first half but gusto was very poor and a lot of our attack got killed with him..

CC is just not good enough I think.. good back up but we need more quality.

Having a scan today on his knee.

How Martinez wasn’t sent off I’ll never know, dirty rat c**t.

Damn. Hopefully can shake it off and nothing serious.
