In fairness I think a claim that Poch is telling Madueke to pass the ball straight to the opposition in the final minutes is far fetched in anyone's terms!

Poch got few things wrong today but I don't think he can be blamed for individual errors like that.

If he was talking specifically about that one thing then fair enough.

Just finished as couldn’t be arsed to get up 4.30 am, even here in 🌞 soufern California it’s 🥶 at that hour and I’ve become a fair weather fan it seems 😉

Four positive takeaways - 3 points, clean sheet, 4th home EPL win on the bounce, up to 8th (haven’t watched barcodes game yet that’s next)

Negatives - probably all been said in the thread above 🙄

We desperately need a striker. Just someone in the box who can finish. Until we sort that out, this side is going nowhere.

Don’t think it’s just as easy as that. Shearer said in the round up today that it not easy being a centre forward for Chelsea because of the delay on balls coming in or not coming in. I think Lukaku complained about it too.

Time and time again rather than cross the ball first time they check back, then play back to someone else who won’t cross and next you know we are back with Silva.

These are professional players and it’s easy to cross a ball first time that has been rolled to you.

Defenders scrambling back must love it when we don’t cross first time and they can get themselves set.

Have to excuse Madueke from this as he does try to hit dead ball line and cross. Maybe this is why he looks dangerous when he comes on.

I don't think he is telling them to play like that.  What I suspect is that he is NOT telling players what not to do in situations like that. He has to make sure that his players know exactly how to see the game off, especially with few minutes left. Maybe he just doesn't talk to them about things like that...who knows... We assume that he does, but maybe  Poch is one of those coaches who just tells players "go with your instinct", "express yourself on the pitch", "go spread your wings"  etc. They have to be coached how to value the ball and not to loose it cheaply. It's just frustrating seeing the same end of game calamity in simple situations.

Regardless of how we played, three wins on the trot for the first time in 3 years is huge and I'm proud of the team

Yes. The team is not the best and it's not all on the manager even though some feel he's pants, but it's the longest run of home victories in near 2 years.

Seems like such a long time when any games at Stamford bridge was basically a write off for the opposition, bar the big guns who could eke out a draw. Mourinho made us impregnable back in the days and the psychology carried on for a very long time but we will take what we can today.

Don't expect much from the team but they are inexperienced so will be as inconsistent as they've been but if 2 of our losses were turned to wins, and not just out of nothing but games we would have won with a more experienced team such as Brentford and Forest, then maybe there won't be as much pressure from the fans on the players and Poch.

With so many players playing sideways or backward passes we struggle with balls through midfield and  defence splitting passes.  Poor again first half, but we broke about 6 times in the second half as Fulham attacked for an equaliser. The runs and also the final pass and decision when to shoot were so poor.

This comes from no creativity in midfield and as we know too many players who can’t score goals

Colwill best game at left back.

Looks a bit more up for it, more aggressive and not willing to get shoved about. 👏

So, just watched the game again as I recorded it. I don't think we did a lot wrong. Best game I've seen from Colwill. Palmer class as ever. Enzo deserved MOTM performance. Caicedo kept breaking things up and keeping us moving.  Thought the whole defence did okay and I thought we played with a better tempo. Petrovic really solid.  Bit of a sweaty  final injury time and often Poch's substitutions baffle me.

Yes the points are the most important thing, but I thought it was a better performance than we give ourselves credit for. Yes we will need to play better against better opposition but I think we need to move away from opposition snobbery. Klopp is out there fist pumping as much when they beat Burnley than if they beat Arsenal.

Confidence will improve and the style will as well, providing we build on performances like this instead of falling back again.

😂😂😂

I really believe a lot of fans think being manager is like being on play station with controller.

Tierney would be excellent at Chelsea.
Proven PL quality. Arteta is a mug for preferring Zinchenko who is a midfielder.

Simple analysis.

- A lot praise for Palmer. I disagree, his movement wasn't good enough, he need to make sharper and faster run to get gusto more space. Off the ball 😭😭😭😭. His man made simple run and Palmer just let him go. Soooo bad.

- Sterling was isolated on the left but kept the ball well which allow us to keep the ball high.

- Enzo is so much better on the right than on the left.

- Gallagher need a break.

- Borja need to do better. I don't care if you don't score, he need to fight CB better.

- Madueke need to train his weak foot every training session.

We don't need a lb. Chilwell is more than fine

He would prevent Reece having to talk to Cucurella in the treatment room

I've heard exactly this from a few Arsenal fans ... a lot of them really don't like Arteta (can't understand why LOL)

Tierney is a WB, his strength is bombing forward. Weakest part of his game is defence. Arteta's problem is two players whose mutual problem is defence.

Nah I’m not having that. He’s a left back who can bomb forward. He’s a very strong defender. Scotland play him left side of a back 3 with Robertson as the wing back and it works brilliantly. He’s a solid defender no doubts.
