I would have thought the latter up until recently, but he's just really poor isn't he. 

Got exposed the minute he was expected to play in a more open defence. He was basically getting protected by Silva and the midfield under Potter, but since we played more open, he's been awful.

We can still get a result in this game , we have been under par tonight Maresca has tried to be clear but backfired massively playing players out of position why is he playing kdh right wing and brigs central midfield 

Fair to say this experiment has failed … still can’t believe how poor we have been.. 

the fact that Enzo can’t run and break the press has cost us ..

Unless they get minutes cutting grass.....I've never seen two clowns this bad on the same team.  I can't remember going back through the years our defence being so atrocious..as well as having such a weak keeper and his back up.    

Veiga and Enzo just aren’t press resistant at all. They can’t dribble out of pressure nor are they nimble enough to half turn.

There are times when you look at players and think to yourself "these are professionals?" our defence this match is one of those times.

We're not exactly a stranger to defensive lapses this season but players here just don't seem to know what they're doing and for some reason don't seem to be making any attempt to figure it out either.

Maresca should pull Badiashile at half time to give a team at least a chance to try and rescue a game. No chance with this defence pair. Move Cucu for Badiash and bring on Chilwell

It’s absolutely infuriating to see such poor footballers at this level of the game.

And this insane attempt to get players this bad playing like 70s Brazil is making Maresca look stark raving mad.

sickening to see Utd scoring 4 in one half....will be interesting on Sunday that's for sure.  What should have been a walk in the park may not turn out to be that way now.

Disasi and Badiashile should NEVER play against Premier League opposition or standard again until we can sell them.

It's literally impossible to go on a cup run with these 2.

I honestly would rather we chose U18's in defence than these 2.

At least there's a chance the U18's could get better with age.

Nothing new here, we need a goalkeeper and at least one central defender if we are to play this style. This is what Guardiola has always done and what we will need to do if we are to be successful

I don't have much issue with the attack. Apart from Dewsbury-Hall's chance early on, I don't know what else could have been done, but the defence are a joke. I do think the manager should take a lot of criticism though. It's not like today is the first example of how terrible we have been defensively and playing it out of the back, it's happened in every single game this season. It happens so often that you can almost guarantee we will concede from it.

Colwill is genuinely our only competent CB and even he isn’t perfect considering his age.

Enzo has lost his way I think, he started off slow, then started to play the way we expected but since he's been dropped he's looked like a 2nd rate mid-table championship player....maybe because he's now playing alongside KDH; now there's a purchase I don't understand when you have better players within the squad and which were sent on loan.
