I noticed that too.

Forget Garnacho.

Sign Geuhi or bring Veiga back.

Hahaha if so, the Colwill signing could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

We could do with a really good CB anyways. Fofana can'tbe trusted anymore. Just make sure it's somebody who can play alongside Colwill when he comes back.

Would rather spend big on a CB than waste money on Garnacho. Let's just hope this doesn't mean we abandon Simons and get Garnacho anyways...

Only a friendly but…..,

After plotting Maresca’s murder for most of this year I’m beginning to trust him now. After the Conference win I gave him a clean slate and he’s done well so far.

He’s definitely getting a tune from the squad and we now have a core within the squad we haven’t had for years. We have leaders in the dressing room who seem to be driving standards.

I’d still sell my soul for a top keeper but I’d be more than happy if we started the season with what we have. Certainly if we sell and replace Jackson.

There is genuine competition for every single position and our squad is as strong as City, Liverpool and Arsenal. If there was a league for the second 11 I reckon we would win it. Liverpool probably have the strongest first 11 but something tells me they might struggle.

I don’t think we’ll struggle to put away the low block teams this season. Our biggest test will be games against the top 6. We look ready to win against them for the first time in years.

Genuinely looking forward to the season.

Now I think we’re getting a little too hyped up next you’ll be telling me you see a little Hazard in Garnacho.

Trust me it won't surprise me in the least to see social media posts about a little something in Garnacho, God knows what.

Re Hato I am definitely throwing loads of caveats on the comment. I am just referring to body shape and athleticism. Looks comfortable and assured already.

There might have been a moment Caicedo's dad was in some sort of vacation or business trip in Portugal and did not keep his dick in his pants. Essugo looks likes his twin brother, only three years younger. f**king hell we have a massive job in our hands in keeping this kid happy, otherwise I can't name a single big club not sniffing around.

Vote of confidence for Josh

We’ve got one of the brightest centre back prospects in world football with Josh, with his talent the conversation shouldn’t be on this myth we need some kind of LCB specialist; let him grow into the role.

Those comments kind of took the shine off the afternoon really. Disappointing; especially as any tried and trusted alternative will unnecessarily break the bank.

100% agree.

Chalobah and Josh are more than capable of replacing Levi's on the ball productivity.

No Josh is not. Not yet. he is a brilliant talent that needs to grow and develop whilst learning from others. A 25 game season for Acheampong is the perfect opportunity for him to grow and develop. That will still leave 40 games to cover.

Palace have already rejected £70m for him, how is that realistic.

Then you’ve got someone like Murillo, who again, Forest’ owner will want the world and everything in it. Then Colwill comes back from injury, and the specialist LCB we just signed is….benched?

Strange Maresca would call out the sporting directors for this, if anything, he should be telling them to stop the Garnacho garbage-fire madness.

On Conor Holden's YT channel he has identified Loic Bade of Sevilla as a really good, and relatively cheap option that adds quality and won't disrupt the total balance. I don't know anything about him, but he is 1.91m which would help with Colwill being out.

Palace rejected £70m bid for Guehi last summer.

Widely touted Guehi will go for £40-45m this summer, likely even less if we utilize the sell on clause in some way. Course we need to sell/loan somebody to make room.

We can’t gamble 8 European fixtures and 19 premier league fixtures on the back of Chalobah & Tosin alone. Fofana/Badiashile are unreliable and Acheampong is still developing. Enormous risk to put that pressure on Acheampong at his age.

Was very impressed with the performance. Acheampong and Chalobah worked really well together. I like that both are very athletic and fast. It allows us to play the high line and very difficult for teams to get in behind. Hato looked solid when he came on for Cucu as well. Nice to see Estevao get his first goal in Blue colours. Gittens looked a real livewire when he came on and was extremely promising. Looking forward to hopefully seeing him start on Sunday. Rapid player he is. Neto looked good when he came on too. Liking the squad depth already. Big shout out to Essugo though. What a performance he put in for second half. Looked at home. Composed, strong, won his duels. Top performance and looks really imposing. Defo should keep him around, because he looks like a Caicedo 2.0.

My concern with Guehi, above me thinking he is just an average defender, is his height. Looking at this team and the pace within it and its potential press resistance I think an important aspect of our defensive game this year will be set piece defending. Throughout midfield and the forward line we are not a particularly tall team. Trev and Tosin offer us height but we are sorely lacking in this area. In fact the only shadow I am seeing in Colwill's game atm is that aerial ability under challenge.

If we do get another LCB my preference would be someone that is at least 1.90m. Yes I was advocating Murillo previously but I can that that is also impractical due to his height. If they are going to be 1.87, 1.88 then they need to be strong aerially. I am pretty convinced this will be the main area where teams will try to unsettle us

Good run out for the squad last night, good at times dropped off in the second half.

Hopefully will be ready to go against Palace and important to to use the 5 subs during the second half with a short pre season.

Off the pitch disappointed with the club regarding the sales for these two games.

I have from a club source that they were worried about sales so only sold certain sections first. So unable to buy season ticket seats in MHU so ended up in 3rd row of lower. Turned round before K O to see all the people who bought general sale tickets in MHU, Shed Upper West Upper. The only part of the ground closed was East upper.

Also you can’t go to the bar anymore and order. You have to Buy at a machine, like K F C etc then take a receipt to the bar!

For those with kids £4.50 for a Coke!

I was in the West Lower, 30 rows back. When I bought my ticket I think that only the West Lower was available .Saying that I only bought a ticket about ten days ago. Didn't know that about the way tickets were sold. £4.50 for a coke? That's daft. No way to encourage people to drink in the ground. I rarely drink in the ground as the beer is expensive and not that good. Was in the new Wetherspoons in the old entrance to Fulham Broadway Station and had a pint for £3.29. About the half the cost of a pint in the ground. The Wetherspoons pub was mobbed. Can see it doing a good trade on match day.

Some good performances in the game. Looks good for the future. Might see you at the game on Sunday.
